There are some super nice gets in this thread. I got a Friedman JJ Jr, ipad pro m1 and ended up returning some things so am on the prowl for something else. Probably a digital setup as much as I don't love it. Lots of like but I still just enjoy playing in the room with amps and cabs more-so.

I agree. That sounds pretty similar to my experience. I had a Tremoverb and 'I' could never get it sounding the way I guess I expected it to, even boosted. I'd like to try again but it may just not be for me.

Sounds great! The guitar has a great tone. Also it's cool you're still doing a song that's nearly 20 years old. It has inspired me to think back to some of mine.

I like it better too for whatever reason.

I have loved mine too. I regretted selling my 50 watt years ago to go digital until I got a 100 watt stealth.

I have a 667 and have loved it for years. Only reason I'm going to get rid of mine is because of the band I'm now in. It's been nice to have a sound that is different from the other guitarists I've played with versus all of their variations of Marshall's.

I hadn't even heard of the VM12-65. I guess I'm behind. But I'm really wanting to try the DV77. I've spent more money on speakers than I should've over there years but might have to try these. My favorite speaker right now, for most things, is the G12EVH's but I don't want to risk them in a 2x12.

I'll add to an old thread; my favorite mix is the redback with an EVM12L. It's an odd combo maybe but I think it sounds great. The Celestion gives some clean, some Celestion sound (crunch or whatever the sound would be described as) while the EVM does what it does. They punch and are louder than...

They all sounded good but my preference I think was EVH > mini rec > Marshall.
