Just get the Hipshots with UMPs - I use them on ALL of my guitars, and have ZERO complaints. They’re awesome. I always get the locking ones. The UMPs are great too - no holes necessary, and they cover up the ones that are already there usually.
Just echo’ing… 3 hours to set up a Floyd?!? Did you have to cast it as well? Usually takes about 20-30 minutes unless you’re intonating as well… Hard for some I guess. It used to mystify me, but then one day, it just clicked. Easy peezy…
