Fair enough. Fwiw, this was my solution to that problem. My load box and interface are on a little shelf by my amps, and I have an old laptop that's always on, running Reaper. (Most of the time the screen is closed but it's still powered on.) If I want to play on the couch, I just need to run a...
Personally I'd go with a good IR loader on your computer, fed from any load box you like. Maximum flexibility.
I'm currently using one of the York IR packs with a stereo room capture (fed from a Suhr RL) and, honestly, it's the closest I've ever felt to playing with a cabinet in the room...
I've had the Captor and the Suhr, much preferred the Suhr. You can find the non IR version second hand. (Though it's a bit more than the Captor.)
I'm also a fan of keeping the components separate. So when you need an IR loader live, you don't have to drag the load box with you.
I use a couple of wedge-shaped plexiglass diffusers ("ToneShield") with a 2x12. Mostly for dispersion, so you can hear yourself everywhere on stage. But it kills the beam so you can crank your amp and you're not going to take anyone's head off. Works well.
Personally I always stick a volume pedal in the loop so I can adjust as necessary ... if you're always too loud this might be handy.
In this case you could stick with the same approach (amp out --> PS100 --> cab), but in the amp's loop (or the PS100 loop), run the FX send to the Lehle Y, one...
I had an Iridium- there is a bit of 60 Hz noise in the background that you only hear at low volumes. I didn't hear it with the Amp 1 Mercury so I wrote to Bluguitar about it and they said that's normal for the unit. So ... doesn't sound like any kind of issue.
Why does the 4x12 have to go? Probably sounds great at low volumes
If recording is your goal, I'd keep the cabinet and get a good load box instead (the Suhr one without IRs isn't too much on the used market) and a decent interface. IRs are cheap and are going to give way more flexibility...
I used one live for a few years for exactly the same reason- a handful of tunes are in Eb and it wasn't worth bringing another guitar for it or retuning mid-set.
I think it's pretty great for 1-2 semitones down. It does feel a bit odd - there's a tiny bit of latency to it - but you get over...
So beyond the spin of this being a limited edition sig model, dealers can order special runs (custom colours, some config changes, etc.) assuming they place a large enough order. There are plenty out there.
If you could guarantee selling 50ish instruments, you could probably get your own sig...
If you ran a load after the Cab M you should be fine- how you had it hooked up is what the manual shows. Without a load you'd likely damage the amp, not the Cab M.
How does the amp sound directly into the cabinet? Do you have another amp to test the Captor with? Basically eliminate one thing at...
It's excellent. I've gone from the MC6 to the MC6 Pro for the display and onboard relay, but otherwise they're very similar. There's not much it can't do.
