Thanks guys...yeah, wouldn't doubt it being a parts guitar. I wonder where he got the body, if so. I know he and Snake had a couple of Hamers at the time. The SS rout is unique, so I'm curious if it came that way or he asked for it. Scotti has always had really cool mutts....beat to hell, with...
He used it during the Slave To The Grind-era.....has a Steve Stevens reverse pickup slant, so wondering if it's a Hamer/Washburn/Charvel. Someone help!
Tried to get the smallest photo possible...lol-
It's a classic. Just a great album in all respects....playing, tones, songs, vocals, all of it. That whole 1989-92 last-gasp era of hard rock/metal contained some of the best recorded work of many of those bands.....Skid Row,Lynch Mob,Badlands,Don Dokken, etc.
Schallers are my favorite. Sperzels are bulky in comparison, but work well.
I bought a set of Kluson lockers for my SG. They're working ok, but the ferrules are too small. Don't care for the top locking feel, though PRS makes a nice version. These don't feel as solid.
Guitar Player and Vintage Guitar still have some good stuff in them. GP has the fantastic Jesse Gress lesson section each month, and VG has great collection photos and album reviews. Guitarist UK is also a lovely magazine, but expensive over here. Those are my 3 current favorites.
I agree that...
Just had a guy on TGP offer me $200 shipped for a new, mint Charvel San Dimas body. He lived completely across the country, so after everything I might have netted $160-170? It was an absurd lowball offer, so I just said "Sure, that sounds fair." He replies "No need to be snarky...good...
Thanks man.....the EQ and hot pickup is definitely what I'm missing. Gonna look for a GE-7 and try that out. My basic tone is close at gig levels, but needs an extra kick in gain level from what I have right now, without getting ratty.
These bands and their guitarists were vital to me in the '90s-
STP
Jeff Buckley
Radiohead
Korn
Pantera
AIC
Dream Theater
FNM
Tool
Great songs, great playing, great tones
Yeah, that link is the best I found. Was just wondering if anyone knew if his touring rig was different. I've tried an SD-1 with my 800, and didn't like it. Much prefer my OD808. I should try an EQ and hotter pickups than my Seth Lovers.
....what does it sound like he's using here for amp/pedal? Boosted JCM800? Will a GE-7 alone boost it like this? I've always loved his live tone here....aggressive-

I've been on eBay for 14 years.....have had 100% feedback for most of that time, only a couple of clowns sent me negative/neutral for idiotic reasons. Have always paid my (excessive) fees on time, no major issues, etc. This past month, I was $30 short in my Paypal when they tried to pull my...
Yngwie overplays
Buddy Guy is sloppy, with pitchy bends
BB King knows 5 notes and no chords
Eddie is a wanker
Robben Ford's solos go nowhere
Yet....I love hearing all of them play.
Hated the Custom 5 in the bridge of my PRS McCarty. I agree about it being scooped and harsh trebly. My guitar was lost in the mix in a 2-guitar band.
Have the Rebel Yells in a poplar/maple Washburn Steve Stevens, and they kick ass. Plenty of low end, very balanced and punchy.
