My cobra was one of the most badass amps I’ve ever played. Yours sounds great even without a boost. If you have a chance to put it through a greenback cab or a vht cab with p50e’s definitely give it a try. You won’t be sorry. Oh and good luck with the loop.
The p50e's have been my goto for a long time now. I love them. They have a big but crazy tight and focused low end, strong mids, and a clear but not annoying high end. Sounds amazing for downtuned stuff, but also really great for the more traditional metal grind. I do want to throw in, the...
So badass looking pedal for sure, but this post was made in March of 2014. WTF!!! Why would you use your first post to bump something that was 3 and a half years old?
Congrats man! A stereo rig has always been a pipe dream of mine but I always end up pulling the plug after a long and incomplete setup process. Enjoy the beast tones!
Sounds like you found a good deal on my favorite style cab! Is it the oversized or the traditional cab?
I like the traditional more because it seems a good bit tighter than the oversized. The difference I hear between the straight and slant cabs are just that the slant will be firing up into...
Sounds amazingly alike and yet it’s not what I would call good. Their first two albums were great but after that they’ve been all over the place. Through the Ashes of Empires was the last good thing they put out.
Reading this thread definitely put things in context for me.
I’d be pretty pissed off if I’d gone to all the trouble of putting this sweet guitar together and then had a small bit of it fail too. Glad it’s working out for you SavageRiffer. Hope you can get her fixed someday.
Ah man I haven’t listened to that in thirty years! I used to love that song. Great playing dude. You’ve got a really good feel for it and the sounds are not bad at all. All in all I’d give it an 8.5 out of 10. Solid.
I agree, it sucks and I’m tired of it too. And yet it’s threads like that, that get the most attention, go figure. I guess everyone needs to slow down and gawk at the car wreck.
I’m running mine at a little higher then 10 o’clock but it’s going through a buffer first so I imagine that’s pushing the signal just a bit. As long as it’s gating the way you need it to be and it’s not cutting off the end of your lead stuff you have it set properly for your particular...
Hey everybody. Filing a nut slot on a guitar is the same as swapping speakers in a cab. It's theft pure and simple.
Whatever man. I still stand behind what I said. It's not a significant alteration and won't affect the next person to use the guitar. Nobody's harmed by this action. And if it...
Because filing a nut isn’t the same as swapping speakers. I assume he intended to keep it if he liked it but on the off chance that he didn’t jell with it what he did was not a fundamental change to the device. It’s not like he swapped out a bone nut for a piece of hard playdoh and then...
Pleasure
RJM makes an isolated splitter/buffer too. It doesn’t have a phase switch but you won’t need one for what you intend.

And I remember seeing a post a while back where someone was trying to sell an Axcess BS-2. I don’t think they...
