MK 4.23- cleanist boost out their.
Monsterpiece STUD- Clean boost w/ ability to add subtract treble (which is a great option in a pedal for the BE).
I have the Koko boost (great pedal), but the MK and STUD are the go to pedals for me.
Every know and than I'll bring out my boosts and try to dethrone my main boost (MK 4.23). I haven't tried a lot of boost pedals but the ones I have compared babck to back are the RC Booster, EP Boost, Koko Boost and Creation Audiolab MK 4.23. The MK 4.23 is more transparent and just feels like...
I remember years ago picking up a guitar mag and reading about SY. They talked about using kitchen utensils to hit against the guitar to create different sounds (probably would have been a good idea to learn how to play the damn thing first) and a bunch of other bull shit such as not owning a...
I was the original owner of this amp. Glad it made it to Matt in one piece. Even though it's built like a brick house anything can happen during delivery. Now rock that shit!!!
sweet, appreciate ya! Funny we are selling Tremonti a CCV as well for the new Creed record but it is way more satisfying to me to see a regular guy scrape and save to get one. Nothing against Tremonti who is a sweet guy and very humble but I like to see this and its second hand to boot...
I've go the Koko boost and the MK.4.23 clean boost. Love the koko boost, but the MK.4.23 is more transparent. The koko gets the nod because it's very close to the MK.4.23, but also has the mid boost option. If you want a great clean boost w/ versatility get the koko. Looking for the most...
Thanks for posting! Everytime I see something about Randy I get all sentimental and pissed at the same time. One can only wonder how much more ass kicking music he would have made (with or without Ozzy).
If I had to recommend only one OD pedal to try w/ the Empire it would the Barber Direct Drive. I've got great results using this pedal w/ my 18 watt Suhr Badger and 100 watt JMP Fortin Cali Mod.
I'll be playing this song tonight at a gig. It's one of my favorite solo's, now having said that and watching this video I can honestly say that I noodle my ass off through most of the solo.
My mojo lays in a puddle of piss... Guess it's time to really learn this solo.
Great job Mark!
Hey Bob,
Hope all is well with you in NY.
That loop is line level so stomp boxes are a no go. Drop me an email and I'll be able to hook you up with a local tech if you are interested in adjusting that loop for pedals.
Cheers,
Mike
Hey Mike,
I still have the purple Cali modded JMP. That is...
