Soldano Hot Rod loop sucks! Am I doing something wrong?

I have a 50+ and a SLO (Loved the HotRod so much I had to get the SLO)
Boss DD20 works great in both - I have also had success with the TC Nova System.

I am not gigging, so solo boosts are not a problem. I have to say, since I have gone to the Soldano's I really prefer straight into the Amp 99% of the time. Love me my Soldano's
 
also there is a thread on the harmony central amp forum listing all the pedals that will work in the Soldano\Jet City loops.
 
I got the following response from the guys at Soldano about the MOD mentioned earlier in this thread.

"the mod will basically drop the signal level in half and boost the recovery amp by about the same amount. that may not be enough to make much difference for some pedals but may work for others. The capacitor on the recovery will sharpen the sound a little and the lower signal level may lose some detail."

Just an FYI for those interested in the MOD.

That loop is line level so stomp boxes are a no go. Drop me an email and I'll be able to hook you up with a local tech if you are interested in adjusting that loop for pedals.

Hey Mike,

I still have the purple Cali modded JMP. That is not going anywhere and is my go to gigging amp. That amp is simply lights out at any volume. I wish the Soldano had a volume boost like on my Cali.
