I was always curious how the Deville's held up against the Twin and Deluxe Reverb. It would be nice to run a two amp rig with the Fender clean and dirt tones and my VM for the Marshall crunch and lead tones
I did notice that the 69's got some reviews that weren't exactly stellar. It seemed that many of the complaints were concerning the hum. I think some also mentioned that they didn't care for the way the pole pieces were staggered. It did seem that the majority were positive, though.
Interesting about the 57'/62' set. I didn't even think about them. Are they comparable with the CS 69's? The CS 69's are almost $200 new ($30 more than the 57'/62's), so if I saved a little cash and still got a nice sound I certainly wouldn't be complaining :)
This is what I'm looking for. I think the SCN's sound good with higher gain tones, but clean is a different story. With clean tones, they just sound kind of dull and lifeless, IMO. I'm always left wanting more of the classic Strat sound.
Rockerfire? Never heard of them
I've basically settled on these to be the replacements for my current SCN's in my Am Dlx Strat (I have a feeling I wont be missing the S-1 switching)
They seem to get solid reviews, but I just wanted to see if any of you guys had experience with them and comment accordingly. Thanks
Also, go Hawks!
But first, go Anaheim! I'm not saying we couldn't beat Detroit, and it would be much more epic, but I like our chances against Anaheim a little better, and it would be nice to have home-ice advantage. The Hawks need still need to clean up their passes, though. Sloppy in both...
Damn, that's a big room
I've noticed the same thing when it comes to room size. The basement where I'm at now is wide open, and my tone always sounds a little weaker as compared to jamming at our drummer's place where there's an enclosed room that's about 12'x15'.
