Ok, here's my decent offer...
I'll send you $25 a month, for the next 20 years for a Modern 7 string. That's $6000. More than MSRP (probably).
Would you like to have your lawyer or my lawyer draw up the contract? \:D/
I'd love to get one, but I'm really strapped for cash. That being said...
John or Ed,
Can you tell us what scale length the guitar will be and if it will have a multipiece neck or stabilizing bars?
And yeah, I know you said there'd be more info around NAMM '10 but my OCD demands to know, NOW! :D ;)
I love the contouring on the edges. I've been kicking around an idea for a custom that's got a body shape reminiscent of an Ibanez Soundgear bass with sharper, elongated horns that's contoured like your new guitar.
Hope you really dig the guitar.
PS,
Where do you find all of these...
I was going to point that out about Suhr's new (said with love and admiration) "swollen penis" headstock too. Wasn't it Billy Sheehan that used to hang a set of vice grips off of the headstock of his basses?
And sometimes I hate you Ed. For having all those kickass guitars... :( ;) :D Still...
Hey Pete,
Glad to hear you're happy with the guitar for the most part. If you're not a member already, go to:

If you ask the question there, Tom will probably answer you directly.
Keep it. At least until the end of the year. Give yourself a good long time with it and also give the economy a chance to pick up perhaps. I've learned the hard way (several times  ) that it's easier (and FAR cheaper) to keep something you think you don't want than it is to try and get it...
1. Strategy 500
2. Simul 395
3. Coliseum 300
Those are my favorite Mesa poweramps. The 500 is like God in a box IMO. One thing I recommend, if you ever have the opportunity to slave an amp head in to the 500, you will NEVER want to play any other type of set up. I had the chance to run my old...
The H2+ and H3 are both ceramic. The new HC and HF pickups are Alnico. The H3 and H2+ are two of my top three favorite humbuckers with the H3 being top and the Anderson HN2+ being right behind it.
I've owned three of the Halfback 4x12s over the past few years and played a few others. I prefer the EV loaded ones fully closed. Cleaner and clearer sounding. Let more of the personality of the amps come through.
Listened to "My Machine" and "Easy to Love" so far. The only thing I can say I don't like are a couple of the vocal parts. Everything else kicks serious ass. If I heard either of these songs on the radio, I'd be on iTunes or Amazon looking to buy them or the CD.
