Did some preamp tube swapping and noticed some difference, but not the change that I was looking for. Do you install adjustable bias on all of the Standard mods for Mesa? I can't seem to find the trim pot, is it hiding under one of the boards? Thinking I'll try some EL34's in it before I move...

I've seen this a few different times about the 6550's changing the Shiva anniversary. Is it a factory option, or is the bias within range stock? Sucks that a four hour drive is the closest place to find any of this stuff for me...

Had a chance to check out a friends head (EL34) over the weekend. I've been looking for a good channel switching head and the cleans on this were pretty damn amazing. The overdrive channel was good too, but just didn't do it for me. Anyone know of any other heads that get similar clean sounds...

You'd get more if you split them up. On a good day I could see $900 for the head and $550 for the cab sold locally. If they buyer has to pay freight... less.

DeoxIT StewMac carries it. I've also seen it at some Radio Shacks.

If you're really ambitious you can glue or solder the machine screw nuts to the tab, or you can also use a retaining clip. If you can't find them at an auto parts store, you can buy them on line in packs of 10.... hate to say it but sounds like you need a few...

Sounds more like the OP has issues with the EQ of this amp than the gain structure or overall voicing. I doubt tubes are going to change that. The Deliverance is a really hi-fi sounding amp, you may want to consider just getting another amp for cleans.
