They used to be Dimarzio HS-2's wired up with just one coil; not sure if they're still doing that If that's the case you could likely re-wire it for full humbucking mode

I've generally always been more interested in learning cool individual parts from tunes I liked, rather than learning to cover the entire song, though obviously there were many exceptions to that rule over the years However, I'm the type of dude that WILL NOT remember how to play an entire song...
