If you havent tried messing with the EQ a shit ton go ahead and do that first. If you still arent getting what you want then pop in some NOS Philips tubes...
Power conditioners are almost all bullshit for the most part. Read the box and they all get rid of "hum" about 12,000 hz. yeah... cuz amps dont get that 60hz hum at all..... Buying a power conditioner is just buying an expensive power strip. You might notice alittle difference in clean power...
Who ever told you that you don't need to rebias them because they are they same type as the original does not know what they are talking about. Do not listen to them. It NEEDS to be rebiased. The amp needs to be biased every so often as well due to "drift". as the tubes get older they change...
I like to pretend on this forum alot and just assume that people are smart enough to do the BASIC trouble shooting before making a thread about it. I have been wrong many times though.....

Thanks for the listen dude. I would have done several things pretty differently on this album if it were up to me but i had 4 other guys to fight on it. As for my influences I really don't listen to Necrophagist much. I have the first album on my ipod but ive never listened to the whole thing...
Thanks man that made me feel good. Been feeling down about music alot lately even though I've been writing some killer shit and recording alot. I feel like I'm gonna be making a big life choice here pretty soon for some reason
Don't mean to bring up an old thread but I was just listening to this again. My band broke up literally a few days after we released this. We never got the chance to play any of the songs at a show. Sucks man...
hmmmm no one has mentioned Agile guitars.... They are hit and miss sometimes... But I've played 6 of them that belonged to friends and I've never thought they played like shit at all. VERY awesome for the price.
depends on the riff in the song... use different amps for different sounds. You can blend but beware of the wave cancellation bandit...... He be after yer tone.

What Brand and Model are you guys using? I'm thinking about picking up a Radial Engineering X-Amp Active Reamplifier. I've used one before and it worked great. The DI box i have now works in reverse for reamping but it seems to picks up radio stations lately....

Man... I've had that issue (only worse) with tubedepot 3 times... No more dealings with them. I suggest you find another supplier. I hear Laura aka Valve Queen is fantastic to deal with from pretty much everyone on this forum lol.

China has the best metal in the world right now.... As long as you buy it from a 3rd party that tests and burns in their tubes they are they way to go... I've had nothing but good luck with Ruby. I mean... Winged C's or =C= are much better IMO but the price difference is HUGE and I'm not sure...
Different woods, sometimes there are baffles, inserts, different kinds of foams, quality of wood, how the cab is joined together has an impact on it. there are many variables that have an audible difference.
Mark V has NOTHING on the hagen imo. Check the power tubes. Could be the power where you are playing at. One day out of the blue ALL of my amps started to do that at my house sometimes and it's super annoying but when I take them to a friends house or use a line regulator (not a power...
