bought an amp from sgill72 and the amp was shipped out same day and arrived packed well and was exactly as described. Smooth deal all around. Buy with confidence.
That's what I told him. I can't imagine it sounding much better than it already does, though a clean would be a nice option. Hope you get it back soon and it rocks
I went to a conference in Chicago a few years back and skipped one afternoon for music store hoping. I went to Make 'n Music first followed by CME then Guitar Center. It was an afternoon well spent. Make'n music is incredible. If you are still there, go check em' out.
All rock is rehashed blues riffs anyway. This song kicks ass. I'm glad they didn't start doing downtuned sludgy sounding shit and still know how to play a lead. I was never a huge fan but after seeing them live I'm going to buy this album. You know, buy it, as in not illegally download it.
That's correct. Any stompbox or front of amp model effects are in my stage amp but everything from the amp models after which includes cab sims, mic sims, reverbs and delays are all to front of house only.
I'm not sure what to call my live rig. Half ass wet/dry maybe. Signal goes guitar to POD HD500. From there it goes wet direct to the board for mains. A dry signal with out any of the amp modelling goes to my stage amp which is used for monitoring only. Amp is set pretty clean/crunchy. The...
I saw them at BB Kings in NY a few months ago. And it killed. Michael Sweet was using a marshall (jcm 2000 i think) and Oz was using the Mesa but that was live, so who knows what it was recorded with. It sounded amazing and these guys can play their asses off. First show I've ever been to...
Damn dude. Been busy and just noticed this thread. Sorry to hear the news. Thoughts and prayers sent. Listened to the clips as well. Very tasty. Great mentor to have.
I got rid of the CC for the DL8 but the CC seemed well built and sounded fine in front. If your loop has send and return levels it should work fine in the loop. my basic serial loop was sending too much signal for the CC which is made to run at instrument level.
This is what I needed for the loop in one of my amps. Went with a digitech rv7 and dl8 and i'm happy. In this particular loop which is a passive serial loop they did impart a slight loss of highs and slight volume loss but i was able to overcome this with the eq and by turning the trails on on...
Just to muddy the waters another option. I'm a Dimarzio fan boy. The Norton (not Air Norton) is a great explorer pup. Rich harmonics with a throaty midrange and articulate gain that has enough output to rock but will still let your playing come through, good or bad.
