Can someone post a clip of the BF-2 trick through a modded plexi style amp with a load box and variac, set W/D/W using an Axe FX and a cranked Peacemaker with a 6x12 cab loaded with a Weber, Scumback, V30, H30, P50, and one speaker hole left empty playing Unchained and 10,000 Lovers...
I couldn't get past 13 seconds of the 2nd one....
Who is the douche singing, uh trying to sing? They've always been good at backing vox, though... :jerkit:
BTW, I love original TNT.
Wrong, my good man, quite wrong.
Me, I am Peacemaking > Load box > line out > FX return of Marshall.
OCD up front, Time Factor between line out and FX return.
It actually sounds better going into the FRONT of the Marshall on the clean channel, but the hiss/noise makes it unuseable at anything...
I had an old Guitar Player mag from around '80 with EVH on the cover, black and yellow strat, where he stated that his favorite tone at the time was using an old Bassman but using the extention cabinet speaker jack instead of the normal speaker jack. He said it lowered the volume a lot so he...
Owned the very 1st Makoplex - had to sell a while back for financial reasons  .
Great amp, Andy (ha!) is a great guy and bent over backwards to get the amp like I wanted. It is the one doing the unaccompanied clips on the MAKO site.
Channel switching would have been great and apparently...
I HAD to use one at an outdoor gig where the back line was rented. It was the channel switching model.
I'll tell you sta-raight up, it sounded great. Granted, the treble and mids were on 4 and all the other knobs were maxed!
Probably not a bedroom amp lover's amp.
Sounds like Alex Lifeson's tone. Non-MV amp>Humbucker>Greenbacks..............noice!
As far as the dude @ :55, I believe he was the doorman at the Jazz Cellar.

3) As a result of #2, your soundman or recording device is getting EXACTLY what you want him/her/it to get
4) Therefore...
Ho, Bruddah Gullah-gullah! Your boy looks exactly like you did (minus the hair) back in the day! That's an awesome vacation - SO jealous!!
Hana -bada!!
1st off, that sounds frickin killer! Now, to me, it just sounds louder with a little 3K added in your mix compared to the mass solo version. I think the tone on teh mass solo version is better - :aww: I'm not a fan of 3K...
But I think you are right when you stated that teh low end on your...
Appreciate the time and effort you put into this, James. Dig your voice, and guys, great work on the solos.
My vote for best "stand alone" tone is Chubtone. When I was watching the videos of "J-Luge" (that's my pet name for him)editing this thing, Chub's part was one that was solo'd and I...
What don't you like about it? We could help you more if we knew what you were going for.
To me, it sounds like it was recorded at low volume, which means you had to get the mic pretty hot to get a decent signal. Pair that with the level of quality of your recording gear (mic...
