Hi all,
I'm been playing my Marsha since about 2010. Fantastic amp and I haven't really gas'd for anything else but the features of the BE50 have my attention.
But I'm curious how my Marsha compares to the modern amps? Just by going what I read here, it seems like there's been some...
Suhr HSH Modern Satin for sale.
Plays and sounds great!
There are a few areas where the finish has some dings…there’s rub marks underneath the pickups where the pick hits when strumming, there’s a little ding on the headstock and a barely noticeable scratch on the back (although you have to...

Thanks all! Been playing all day, my ears are ringing :)
Tones are great...I really like having the middle position bridge/neck split for a tele tone. The coil taps for the buckers are pretty good, but I'm never fully satisfied with the tapped sound anyway. They're usable.
At first I...
Took a chance on one of these sight unseen and glad I did, it's a monster!
I read a few articles with Guthrie discussing the design process and I liked a lot of the features they added...the locking bridge, evh pots, tremolno...and I have to say it all works really well.
I'm not sure if this...
I have two os2x12s that I've gigged for about 7 years now...sound great and light for their size!
Mine have scumback m75/h75 mix with a Friedman Marsha.
The only other cab is like to try is a stone age, but the light weight of the PCs is nice for load in and out.
I've seen Modern Satins used in the $1400-$1500 range...I really like mine. Super light and resonant.
510 bridge stays in tune great, I'm done with Floyds.
I'm selling one for $400 shipped if you're interested. I'm the original owner and it's in perfect shape, just don't use it much.
They sound great with headphones (I use Senh 280s). IRs make a big difference to me...I've got a Scumback M75 Ir that's my fave.
Ive has the 100watt head for about a month and am really impressed with it.
Playing through my cabs, I’ve got it dialed in fairly close to my Friedman Marsha...close enough that my bandmates can’t really tell the difference. It’s not 100% the same feel but it’s pretty damn good.
Played a gig...

The one interesting thing I've noticed about my Satin is that it has a much smaller trem block that the 510s on my other Suhrs.
I wonder if the larger block would be a worthwhile upgrade? It always seems to help the cheaper strats.
I've owned several Suhrs and still have a custom Standard (my #1) along with a modern satin.
The Modern satin is one of the best sounding guitars I've ever owned...very lively but full. As someone else mentioned, I don't usually care for the Ssh+ but it works great in the satin. Plus it's...
I can't help you with specific tubes, but I would recommend buying them from Valve Queen.
The last set of Ruby EL 34s (I think it was Ruby's) I bought from her did sound better than when I had bought the same tube through Amazon, Musicians Friend, etc...not sure if she matches them better or...
I've got a mini effect gizmo on a rack shelf with all my pedals...keeps it all out of the way and one unused loop of the effect gizmo switches amp channels for me.
It also provides power to my midi controller via a 7 pin cable, so I don't have to screw around with power at the front of the stage.
Well fwiw, selling all my cases is on my list of things to do...I think I have about 5 buried in closets that haven't seen the light of day since the mid 2000's :)
I much prefer to use gig bags as I never pile my guitars in with other gear anyway and I feel like the metal corners and latches of...
