I agree that he inspired millions of kids, but that's more because of the band he was in & not his playing.
Just like Kirk Hammett. Kirk isn't very good & no one would care if he was the same player & still in Exodus as opposed to Metallica.
Ace got lucky, just like Kirk.
Don't hold your breath for any manufacturer who claims 'made in the USA' & uses a ton of off shore parts & just assembles in the USA to come clean here or any where else.
It's just not good business to do so.
I couldn't agree more.
In a lot of cases, made in China is overtaking made in America in quality.
That made in American strat that people are paying premium dollars for is mostly parts from overseas & assembled in the USA & the customer pays more simply because it says made in USA on the...
That's easy. The more expensive the price, the better the tone.
It's the kiss of death for a boutique builder of any sort to reduce their prices.
That's why a Tom Holmes humbucker at $300 is MUCH better than a Dimarzio 36th Anniversay humbucker at $60.
Not made in China, but not made in American either, if you know what I mean.
Now a days, there is so much gear 'assembled' in the USA that is mostly off shore parts, that all anyone should care about, is if you like the gear or not.
It shouldn't matter where they claim it's made any more...
Damn right. He also makes great ties.
Awesome psychedelic guitarist, solid luthier, ice cream chef & an expert fashion mogul as well.
What can't Garcia do?
I don't think a block makes a difference in being able to pull up or not. That's how your trem is set up & if your guitar has room to pull up.
They make all kinds of blocks. I get mine at http://www.fu-tone.com
Titanium & tungsten will make your guitar more bright & brittle.
I always switch my blocks to an L shaped big brass block & it seems to add girth & sustain to the tone, but doesn't change the EQ frequency.
The tiny Ceriatone print is too small for them to see at a distance.
The lack of logo throws them off & if it wasn't for the tiny black ceriatone mark, most wouldn't have believed me.
If you got your average guitar guy to play a Ceriatone blind folded & told him it was a boutique amp made by a secret builder that cost $4,000 for a head, most would believe you.
Unfortunately we live in a world that pays for a brand name or the mystique of quality & not actual quality. Anyone...
For a custom build guitar, you deal direct with them, as you get to specify the specs & it's built for you from scratch.
They have quite a few models on sale on reverb.com & on their website. I don't think there are too many dealers in North America for their guitars & basses though.
