    Walter Becker

Steely Dan is my favorite band & I've never really experience any hate towards Walter, especially for his playing. His guitar playing is a little to un-Jazzy for SD imo, compared to the great players that have graced SD albums, but his bass playing is world class.

    Dimarzio suing small Pickup maker!

This would probably work. Dimarzio has registered cream double coil pickups. Make an eggshell off white humbucker, registered it & you're fine & you can go after anyone who infringes on your patent/registration.

    Dimarzio suing small Pickup maker!

Unfortunately what the average man in the street thinks it 100% irrelevant. The law is the law is the law & what anyone thinks or feels makes no difference.

    Dimarzio suing small Pickup maker!

Dimarzio didn't patent a color. They patented the color 'double cream' as it relates to 'humbucking pickups'. You can sell a cream car or a cream hammer, but you can't sell a double cream humbucking pickup. BIG difference.

    Dimarzio suing small Pickup maker!

if you could actually do this, then you'd have the right to sue anyone who infringes on your patent/trademark & licensing deals are done all the time ie: strat head stocks. Why is this such a head scratcher for most people?

    Dimarzio suing small Pickup maker!

Apparently if you're a big company & own something, it's OK for a small company to steal from you.

    Dimarzio suing small Pickup maker!

+1 The law is the law is the law. Dimarzio paid for & owns a patent. Someone is stealing their patent...which they own, which they paid for, which belongs to them. Dimarzio has a right to protect their property. You may not like it, but it's the law & reality in the business world.

Brown Sound??? Ceriatone Yeti 50 w/ Veriac

That forum kinda died off after the domain issues, but it's beginning to pick up a little. It's too bad as George is a genius & his new MetroPlex amp is killer.

Brown Sound??? Ceriatone Yeti 50 w/ Veriac

Ever the EVH fan boy, I bought a veriac today for my Ceriatone Yeti 50 & I must say, EVERYONE needs a Veriac to make their tone more 'brown'. Best $86 I ever spent. This clip is direct in, no effects with the Veriac set to 90 volts. YSKNggQUB8w

New Amp Day - Ceriatone Yeti 50

I just use the loop for analog delay & it sounds fine. The Friedman loop is better though.

    Carvin guitars robbed!

No kidding. People pay top dollar for the honor of the Gibson logo & gladly take a lower quality guitar home. I REALLY wanted a Les Paul & tried over a dozen of them & none were very good & none were worth the money. This is when I threw caution to the wind & bought my 1st Carvin, which is...

    Carvin guitars robbed!

I agree with you. If Carvin was available in stores, they would be a lot more popular. However, the price would rise dramatically if they went retail. As much as I love Suhrs & Andersons, some of their prices are ridiculous. You can get a comparable Carvin for much less & this is strictly due...

    Carvin guitars robbed!

I don't know that their PUs used to sound like, but now a days, they sound really good. When I got my 1st Carvin, I had a set of Dimarzio 36th Anniversay PAFs waiting ahead of time so I could change them as soon as my Carvin arrived. When I got my guitar, the original PUs sounded so good I...
