This is an awesome/beautiful guitar built right here in my hometown by an extremely talented guy. Quarter Sawn Mahogany Body with an awesome bookend matched tiger maple cap, ebony fret board, abalone inlays, quarter sawn mahogany 3 piece neck with maple stripe and volute, ebony veneer on the back of the head stock, stained black flamed maple veneer on the front of the head stock, medium frets, Grover tuners, push/pull tone pot does splitting or phase depending on pickup selector position. Ken Armstrong pickups.

From what I've heard Thus builder has only made roughly 120 guitars, ever, so these are not something you'll see many of. This guitar is 1 of 3 like it and has the most depth out of the 3. This is production #103 and his last electric build.

Gary built a guitar for Arnold Schwarzenegger to give to Tony Blair!

His guitars are hand built one offs, no production line, everything hand fit meticulously, almost everything made in house in his small work shop. This guy makes seriously beautiful guitars. Check out that acoustic! I'm not one for acoustic guitars, but may have to pick this one up as well! Also hand built.

Some clean sounds:

Some distortions sounds on my Uberschall:

Here's a video detailing the guitars specs:

The acoustic! Not buying this one(yet) from what I recall the body, sides, and neck are all mahogany(yes mahogany, not flamed maple)spruce top, maple binding, with a very thin line of ebony binding right under that. Walnut veneer on the back of the head stock, bone nut/bridge/string keepers, Grover tuners, ebony veneer on the front of the headstock, hand cut abalone inlays, ebony fret board, and truss rod adjustable from the head stock. Absolutely amazing!

I added a video detailing this guitar since I just picked it up, now to go jam on it for a bit! I had to take the time to make this video for you guys to show off Gary's craftsmanship.

Man, the sustain on this guitar blows me away! I'm going to have to make a video just showing off the sustain. Funny, we actually talked about that at length since his neck is bolt on, apparently one of the beach boys is a friend of Gary's and said the same thing, until he played one of Gary's bolt ons.

Man, I love Gary Garcia's playing in the Grateful Dead.

Had no idea he was such a great luthier as well.

Not sure if serious? Lol

If serious, then you're thinking Jerry Garcia, if joking then carry on :)

Better pics added! It plays even better than it looks, words cannot describe!

Man, not only an awesome psychedelic guitarist, but an even better builder. Go figure.

Keep truckin' Mr. Garcia.

Again, you are referencing JERRY Garcia(Grateful Dead), these guitars are made by GARY Garcia(Luthier Carmichael, CA)

Damn right. He also makes great ties.

Awesome psychedelic guitarist, solid luthier, ice cream chef & an expert fashion mogul as well.

What can't Garcia do?

I thought he was dead?

JERRY Garcia is dead, just past the 11 year mark on the 9th of this month. GARY Garcia is alive, I just saw him yesterday.

Wait just a minute.....you see dead people?! He did make you a really nice guitar.

If this were a Mayones or charvel none of the BS would be going on. Gary is a good friend of mine, and does impeccable work, I'm not appreciative of these clearly purposeful misdirection of my thread.

I normally don't bump my old threads, but alive had lots of requests for videos of how this guitar sounds, so I threw some together really quick today and put them in the Orignal post.

Yeah, that's a steal, the wood likely cost more than that. Gary is very picky about the woods he uses when he's gonna put his name on something. I keep my eye out for them like a hawk. I have 4 of his guitars now, wouldn't mind owning all 120 to myself lol

Here is one for 600 bucks:

Says he is no longer making them due to health issues. Sorry to hear anyone in the gear business is not doing well...

Me personally could care less for bolt on Les Paul style guitars, headstock shape is not my thing either but the wood sure looks nice. I am sure they are great guitars just not my thing, this particular maker...
