It was actually before Tom Scholz sold the Rockman line to Dunlop. The Guitar and Bass Ace were first released in 1990. The Metal Ace was released in 1994. The focus was having a more cost effective product. It's very different from the X100, Soloist, Ultralight and original Rockman. It's still...
I put together a short feature demo of the Rockman Guitar Ace, a headphone amplifier:

The Guitar Ace is a practice amp, so it's not nearly as impressive as the Rockmodules, though I think it is a convenient little amp for spur of the moment playing.
Ah yes, demand is up. Anyone have a Rockmodule or other Rockman gadget collecting dust in your pile of gear? It might be time to add it to the supply ;)
There are some pretty crazy asking prices. The Pro Bass Rockman and PGE 2 equalizer (Rockman Studio Series) are particularly rare. The Rockman Stereo Echo is another that has become rather prized.
Hey, on another subject, if you want to see Rockman gear in action, Boston is on tour right now...
I have a Rockman Stereo Chorus. It's a very nice unit. The sweep-stop control pedal turns off the chorus sweep, leaving you with a short delay, giving you a doubling effect. It's either 20 or 40 milliseconds, depending on normal or long chorus mode. I like that. $150 sounds about right to me...
The previous Rockman Chorus / Delay demo I did was in stereo. If you use the Chorus / Delay in the effects loop of a conventional guitar amp, you might be more likely to use it in mono mode. I put together a demo of this and put it up on YouTube. Let me know if you have any comments or...
Boston is out on the road right now. Their web sites says they are playing Houston tonight. Tom Scholz's performance with his gear may be a lot more interesting than mine ;)
I just picked up one of the Distortion Generators a few months ago. It's simpler than the Sustainor, but the distortion sound is more flexible. They are still awesome ;)
I had kind of forgotten about this. Here's another guitar player that made his own version of the Hyperspace pedal:

He used an Electro Harmonix Deluxe Memory Man, instead of an Echoplex.
