EVH 50 Stealth - Worth pulling the trigger?

I got the B52 mod, the super sonic mod, and the fender clean channel mod. The low end was way overblown and impossible to control. Just took over everything else. The super sonic mod just added high end. Kruse called it clarity, but it seemed like a second presence control and just made the amp...

Mesa Mark users (for metal stuff): what cab?

For me, the best cab for a Mark series is the Mesa oversized 412. The Marks, I have found, love the Mesa V30s, and the OS cab helps give some beefier low end.

EVH 50 Stealth - Worth pulling the trigger?

The 50 watt Stealth has been the absolute best iteration of all the 5150s so far. The clean channel is amazing, the red channel is brutal and has a shit ton of gain. The blue channel is tight and reminiscent of the red channel with more mids and less gain, but a very similar character. I love...

    That dude Reza's videos

LOL...yeah, we had him rage quit on GGF yesterday because a few of us didn't like how his SLO MKII video sounded. Hes all talking about amazing metal tones, and it was harsh in the his and flubby in the lows. We aren't scared about sharing opinions, especially on things like that, and he didn't...

Used to be PhatGirl on here, I think. She owned Valve Queen. She hasn't really been on the forums in a while.

    FS: Gutierrez Juggernaut

This is Laura's Gutierrez Juggernaut. I bugged her for 7 years to sell it to me, and she finally did. Enjoyed it the last couple of years, but I have a couple of custom Vs, now, and another potentially coming, and its time to let it go. Maple neck through, mahogany body, quilted maple top...

Which Mesa Boogie To Get Mark ? and Revision ?

I started with a V25, then moved on to a V, then had 2 IVs for about 2 years. The V25 is awesome if you need Mark tone for your house. Playing in a metal band, it didn't cut it. Enter Mark V...no dice. Didn't sound nearly as good as the 25, and I just fought that amp the whole time I owned it...

    INSANE NGD!!

Tons of output, but retain a lot of clarity. Very tight but with some warmth on the back end of the attack. Huge sounding pickups that feel like theyre pushing things to the limit. I love them.

Tell me about the Mark Five 25

I had one of these for a while, and it sounded great. Low volumes and recording, IMO, is where this amp really shines. When I took it to jam with a drummer it ran out of gas before I could really hear myself, and started getting farty in the low end and compressing way too much. The clean...

Trying a mesa mark IV for the 1st time

Awesome! These are great amps. I had 2 for a couple of years, and they were all I needed during that time. Easily get Metallica tones. I hear that chirp that they have in your videos.

    INSANE NGD!!

So I got my second Bauer custom V yesterday and it has destroyed my entire house. There is nothing left but rubble and the guitar standing over the destruction, basking in its fucking brutal ass goddamn glory. Also, its wearing this Morgue Supplier shirt that he sent me, too. For those that...

    Peavey 5150 / 6505 relevance

No matter what else I have had...Deliverance, 2 Mark IVs, Mark V, KSR Orthos, Rectos, Laneys...I always come back to these dumb Peavey 5150s. I still have a combo and a 5152. They hold up to anything else out there, IMO.

    Oversized 2x12 recommendations

I liked my Avatar contemporary 212 so much that I bought a second one, and my other guitar player also bought one. They are pretty big for 212s, but they sound great. Been gigging with mine for a couple of years, now, and its been solid. Can get them on sale a lot of times for $350 shipped. Crazy.

Bad Cat Lynx vs PRS Archon

Since the 5153 and Archon are both being discussed, here is a quick video I did that includes these 2 amps. F-ksBJ774r0 Also, here is one between the Archon and MT15. The MT15 has become my main amp for band practice and gigging haha. Its so killer. I loved the Archon, too, but didn't feel it...
