I've had the combo and head versions over the years (decades?) and regret selling both of them. The 5150 always felt like a 1 trick pony to me, but it's a great metal amp.
Seeing how today's NHL defense men are much better skaters, I'd say that Gretzky in his prime couldn't duplicate his numbers today either. He'd be a top guy, no question, but 92 goals in a season? 215 points in a season? No.

My advice would be to listen to other drummers that are in the ballpark of what you're going for, and try to break down what...
I don't love everything they've ever done, but when they're firing on all cylinders it's nothing but great. Dogman is, from start to end, an amazing rock album.
I like mine. I wish the 'throw' of the pedal was longer, as to me it feels like my foot movement isn't really synced up with how the sound is being altered (hope I explained that correctly). That's just a nitpick though.
Encouragement is always a good thing, and just the act of playing / writing music with like minded individuals IS fun. Probably the most enjoyable aspect of the entire process.
But, how come "we were in the right place at the right time" never gets discussed in motivational quotes like this...
Silly goose, MUSIC IS A CONTEST!!!!
:P
Fun to watch, definitely. It'd be cool to see PG get into a band situation again, something outside what folks normally expect from him.
