The EVH 2x12 cab is a harsh sounding cab until broken in good. When I first got mine I hated it but after a few years now it sounds fantastic. I'll admit it was one of the hardest cabinets to break in I've ever owned but I'm glad I didn't get rid of it now.

I use a franklin padded leather strap with the rolled edges so the edge doesn't rub my neck.... A little pricey but worth every penny when you can concentrate on "playing" instead of the constant rubbing the cheap straps do...lol
