Right on brother Hannon.
Taking the high road.

Frankie is a bad ass, too

The problem isn't the vocals in the sense that Dave isn't singing all the words. It's the out of key singing he does as well as singing in a high register (which he can't) during parts that don't have high parts in the original songs. I love Van Halen...Eddie is why I play guitar and I own every CD, bootleg and all that jazz but I really don't think I'll be buying this after hearing it. Too much cringing and I don't want to remember them that way which is a shame because the music sounds great to me.

I'm with Frank, I love bootlegs, because I want the LIVE experience. I want to hear the mistakes, I want to hear the inane banter. I don't mind the flat singing or sing song style of delivery. I can't wait to see them this summer.

I'm not a fan of Dave's vocals but I will say it's good to see Eddie firing on all cylinders again...

His guitar playing sounds great and I'll go to the Dallas show just to see that!

What is odd is according to Eddie they didn't want to sit around and listen to 200 shows to pick the best one so they let Dave pick it

Saw him the other night....he didn't mention it...

"If the vocals sucks - everything sucks"

I agree with your drummer

The CD is pretty good I spent my $$. Sure DLR has some moments but there are times he sounds like vintage Roth.
I'll take it any day over Hagar era.

Frank Hannon's seventeen year old kid doesn't have his own car?

I agree with Frank. Want it prefect? Buy the Cd. Yeah the recordings of his singing werent the best. But its only rock n roll.

wonder how many will by the CD, but chose not to go to the concert when it is more expense?

It's way easier to listen to DLR than it is to watch him "perform" these days.
