Thanks for all the options. The Spark Booster sounds like a good option. I do miss my old 10 Band EQ too lol. I have t agree with the Koko V1. I've never tried it and I wonder how it compares. It does suck that I can't run through 5 plus in a row to see what I like. Back to gear flipping!

Volume ultimately. But some extras are cool as well. Boosting the mids etc to add s different flavor would be a nice secondary feature.

Yeah, his site is shady. The only reason I'll buy used MCPs. I don't mind coughing up the money, but the lack of info is suspect. I love my black belt. I just need more oomph/sizzle in the mids. The Detroiter and Angel Dust are the two in really digging.

I have a 2nd Degree BB in my mockingbird and while I love it, I need some more oomph from the pup. I was thinking about the Angel Dust but they look like they're hard to come by used. Any commercial pups that compare to them?

Maybe an issue with fuse or a blown Power Tube? Not an expert but I'd look there first.

So I threw a 2nd Degree BB in my mockingbird and dig it but I want just a bit more hair. Anyone ever compare it to an Angel Dust or Detroiter? And for the BK side of things, I've inly used a RY and HD. How would the Mule or VHII compare?

The TAD/Ruby EL34's and the EHX 6CA7 sound like the ticket. Im thinking Tung Sol in V1 JJ/Brimar in v2 and the Ruby's in 3/4. I had an old Bedrock loaded with RCA and Brimars years ago and got rid of it not knowing the worth of the tubes.

I just messed around more with the new set. The JJ's add this mod crunch that's cool and smooth the top. The Tung Sol's are brighter and more open. Now if I can find the perfect mix lol

It's funny, because I just watched Rivera's EL34 shootout and the Telefunken/Ampherex were my two favorites. I'm thinking of trying to find some of those.
