I just spent a couple of months with the Koko Reloaded and while nice, I want something different.

I'm looking for a clean booster. Something transparent but with added features (mids etc).

I like my core sound and my amp has tons of gain on tap so that's not a huge focus.

So what are you guys using?

I'm using a Wampler Tumnus. Fantastic pedal! Using it on occasion on the XTC and more now with the mini-Jube combo. Works great with both!

I've been using the RC for years. What's wrong with the Koko?

Nothing. Cool pedal. I just wish I could boost the both the mids and volume simultaneously.

I'll check it out. Thanks!

If you like your amp's core tone why boost? Are you looking for a mid boost, tightening of the tone? What do you want different than your amp already offers you?

Volume ultimately. But some extras are cool as well. Boosting the mids etc to add s different flavor would be a nice secondary feature.

For something to put in front of a single channel amp that just sounds like "more" without affecting the core tone, the Archer Ikon is the best I've tried so far.

For amps with a loop, an MXR 10 band eq is the tits. You can set it up to do what ever you want when you step on it, and because it's in the loop, and not out front, you don't get the compression you get from slamming the front end of the amp.
Could be a bug. Could be a feature, depending on what your looking for.

I like (a lot) the TC Electronic Spark Booster. It has active Eq, and a 3-way switch. I love it.

Timmy then.

Check out the TCE Spark boost it has the features your looking for, I use the Spark boost mini for just a pure clean volume boost and that works excellent.

EQ like others have said should do it. I have one always on.

I really want to try a KOKO Version 1 and I've heard the MK.4.23 is one of the best clean boosts. I've also heard the Timmy is where it's at.

Also the PLX Bion Boost sounded very transparent to my ears. Lots of options. It sucks since we can't have them all lol.

Thanks for all the options.

The Spark Booster sounds like a good option. I do miss my old 10 Band EQ too lol.

I have t agree with the Koko V1. I've never tried it and I wonder how it compares. It does suck that I can't run through 5 plus in a row to see what I like. Back to gear flipping!
