I've had some good ones from CL.
One had no car and thought it would be no big deal if I drove 20 miles each way to pick him up..NOT.
Another played over the phone but couldn't play a lick (lots of those on CL).
Then you get the guys who want to do all of 2112 or other obscure tunes that won't...
I've went away from real amps a few times and tried to make a go with the Axe....the last run only lasted a week.
I'm too impatient and just want it to sound right from the opening bell.
Sticking with amps from now on.
The axe always felt disconnected and not as alive as a real amp even with...
I have the 1000 and feel it is more juice than i need.
It is super loud and you have to be careful with it to not smoke your speakers.
I would consider letting the 1000 go if i could find something that sounds as good with less power.
I only use 2 1x12's for the wet channels and the 1000 is too...
For $150 you cannot beat the Zoom G3...it sounds awesome and has up to 6 effects at once.
The drives are pretty convincing as are the amp models and delays/reverbs. Use mine all the time!
+1 for WCR. I have darkbursts in my SC245....it made a massive difference from the stock PRS pu's.
I don't think you can go wrong with WCR.
Have WCR's in my suhr and it is a totally different and better guitar too. Went with the murkat/darkburst combo there.
I know where my next pickups will...
Sorry guys for the vagueness
Heres a complete rundown
Cameron into a marshall 4x12 itha line out box feeding the rjm mini mixer
Frnder drri combo with line out also feeding the mixer
Output from the mixer going into the gm2 and then through the matrix into to wet cabs (mesa 1x12's)
Also have a...
I finally got the wet dry wet setup wired up.
Have a cameron atomica and fender drri hooked up to a rjm rack gizmo and mixer.
From there have a GM2/matrix1000/2 mesa cabs
When i turnup the wet channels i get a feedback loop. Do not think it is a ground loop but it just roars particlarly when i...
I'm a huge Nuno fan too!
I just saw a recent Extreme concert on AXS/HDnet last week.
Not sure how I did not know this but Flight of the Bumblebee was all delays.
He wasn't even playing very fast and it was obvious the delay was doing all the repeats.
There is no good cheap way to do it...I did a small 10x10 room in my house and it wasn't cheap.
Some of the best material is rockwool panels. ATS acoustics has the cheapest prices on it.
They absorb sound, most importantly bass. Other things you can do is to decouple ceillings/walls using...
I think the KOKO boost is a really really good boost and am not sure about the Beano.
I would be surprised if you even needed a second boost with the KoKo.
It's a killer pedal and one I really like. The Isoboost is nearly as good just lacks the tuneable mid boost.
I hope your luck is better than mine...I did not like the factory presets hardly at all.
When building one it wasn't easy coming from an amp and pedals background...there's just way too many things to mess with and they all do have a pretty profound impact on the tone.
At the end of the day...
We all wish our newest amp builder/designer a speedy recovery.
Sorry to hear that..i wrecked on a bicycle and have had a cast on my left wrist/ hand for a month. But i ahve still been teying to play.
Hope your head feels better soon.
