Say something bad about the Shure GLXD16 wireless

I really liked mine, however there was some interference with the wireless Shure mics our singers used that caused theirs to hum. Of course the guitar player always loses out. For the size stages I play, a cord is fine, but I do miss the wireless.

Talk me out of the AXE FX III

I am in the both camp too. I had the AX8, but also picked up the FM3, and there is a noticeable difference. I found myself playing the FM3 constantly, so I did unload a couple of Mesa products I just wasn't using anymore, however I did keep my Mark IV. That will never go anywhere. I also...

NAD: Mesa Mark IV - service

Look at the effects loop - the A models have two, one is normal and one is switchable, and they are both mono. The Bs have one loop, with left and right returns

Who's make affordable but quality snakes?

Check out Chris at Redco. I had him build a custom snake for my Fractal FX8 to my Mesa Mark IV. I speced it out with two humbuster type cables, a couple of TRS to dual TS lines, and it was perfect. Great quality build and very reasonable. Highly recommended.

Is a G Major 2 still the best buy for rack fx?

Didn't Petrucci move to Fractal now for effects? https://www.premierguitar.com/articles/28923-rig-rundown-dream-theaters-john-petrucci-and-john-myung-2019

Is a G Major 2 still the best buy for rack fx?

I had the G Major, G Force, and G System all at different times over the years, but never the G Major 2. To my ears, my favorite was the original G Major. Fast forward a couple of years, and I am now using the Fractal FX8 with my Boogie Mark IV. The effects are second to none, and the relay...

    Dumb rack question...

The Mesa High Gain Amp Switcher is how I would do it. Not only can you choose one, but can choose all four preamps at once, and take it a step further, add a switcher and it could all be done via midi. The old Peavey Midi Pro would also work, and has the midi built in. It has the four A/B...

Building a new rig looking for Multi - Effects pedalboard suggestions

I have both AX8 and FX8, and I use them as different tools for different purposes. The FX8 has the relay switches built in which will change the channels with my Mesa Mark IV - no need for an additional foot switch. The AX8 is used with the FRFR speaker, along with amp and cab sims on. Both...

Building a new rig looking for Multi - Effects pedalboard suggestions

+1 on the FX8. This is the first time in 25 years that I don't a piece of rack gear. I have been through them all - this is the best sounding, most transparent piece I have owned, AND it comes with the foot switch!

Hello Pedal People - SoulPedal® Sneak Peek

John is a super cool guy, and a great player to top it off. He comes from the Intel world, and has an amazing brain and vision. I met him a number of years ago and was amazed at what the Soul Pedal does. The wah piece is amazing, but after he and I chatted about this next version at length, I...

So we decided to be creative with pumpkins this year...

No - it was actually super simple. I printed it the size I wanted, taped it to the pumpkin, and poked holes through the print on to the pumpkin around where I was going to cut along with doing the same for the shadows. I then took the print off the pumpkin, and referred to it for shadows etc...

So we decided to be creative with pumpkins this year...

No worries - we are all good :) This was the first time I did one like this, never attempting it before. I have always done ones a little "off" over the years - the Avenged Sevenfold Deathbat, the Formula 1 logo, Green Bay Packer Logo etc. I thought about the Dremel idea and feared I would...

So we decided to be creative with pumpkins this year...

At the end of the day, I had a great time with my wife and kids carving pumpkins, and took on the challenge to create something cool that I then share with cool people with similar interests. All good.

So we decided to be creative with pumpkins this year...

I can assure you it isn't fake. It took me a lot of patience, an exacto knife, and toothpicks. The shading was done by leaving the skin on. None of the cuts went through the entire way. I did the carving first, then took the top off and cleaned it out. I used a scraper pretty aggressively...
