That is take cool. How did you cut so close to create the shadow on the body? It’s hard to see where it’s even connected to the rest of the pumpkin. That is impressive.

I can assure you it isn't fake. It took me a lot of patience, an exacto knife, and toothpicks. The shading was done by leaving the skin on. None of the cuts went through the entire way. I did the carving first, then took the top off and cleaned it out. I used a scraper pretty aggressively on the inside where the carving is so the candles would shine through where I carved it. My wife is an art major, and LOVES Halloween...

At the end of the day, I had a great time with my wife and kids carving pumpkins, and took on the challenge to create something cool that I then share with cool people with similar interests. All good.
