Wow HOT new amp day. Never played through a Wizard but, I’ve heard a few and never heard a bad sound coming out of one. Last time I was at NAMM I did get to try a Gemini and a Collosus. I liked both quite a bit. What is a Gemini Custom? Is it just the colors or something else?

They’re REALLY different in amplified tone and neck shape. Whatever value Caparison uses for it’s volume pots WORKS. I have to turn the Ibanez pot a lot more to get that volume backed off sound. For a few years I rocked a Guild Bluesbird AAA that sounded better than almost every production LP I’ve played. I still have it but I did buy some Gibson’s (R9/R0/68RI/Slash) that are righteous.

USA Schecter’s are great! I have a super Strat style one that I had no intention of buying but, after playing it and I could not leave the store without it. I owned an MIK PT set neck myself back in the day that soundsed great too. Enjoy it when you get it!

I had no tone suck when I used an ISP Pro Rack back in the day. I think those who experience issues do so because their amp’s loop is the thing in the chain that is not that transparent.

Like one poster mentioned playing thru a Guitar cab is going to lessen how different the amp models sound. You would love the feel though. If you get/have a fairly neutral sounding cab you’ll hear more pronounced differences between your presents otherwise you won’t. Not saying it will sound...
