Not as much fun as a new amp, but maybe a specific cab for that more cold/metallic tone from the amps you already have?
I had one of those Engl XXL cabs (oversized, front loaded) and it was insanely aggressive. Made an unboosted 1959 sound rather metal.
To me at least, an LPC refretted with true jumbo frets is the perfect guitar. But I don't like the smaller frets they use currently, so I'd opt for the Warrior unless I were going to refret a brand new guitar (which I've done haha).
Until recently the Maverick used narrower 55090 frets. Within the last year or so they switched to what essentially seems like 57110. I believe the Horus uses 57110 for a while now. Anderson's can essentially to ordered with whatever except 58118 (which is what the OP wants).
I think you'll be fine. My NightSwan was refretted with 57110s and it's no issue. I have an LP with 58118s and it's fine. It's missing two frets but doesn't seem like it'd be an issue to me.
I'd probably just return it and buy another. Old cabs are a crap shoot. There's no telling what's happened to those speakers.
A healthy cab with 75s shouldn't sound boxy or thin. I prefer a V30 or G12M, but I can work with the 75s for sure and be happy.
I had a DC-30 that I'd sometimes run into a 4x12. That amp turned up to about 11:00 was loud AF but filled the room with this crazy, swirling tone almost like a chorus or some effect was on (there was not). It was really amazing and majestic sounding. Not clean but not overdriven. It wasn't...
I don't love the rounded inlay or the Nashville bridges, but I guess Gibson USAs have those too and these Heritages are way cheaper than a Historic Gibson.
That really annoys me is that Jackson constantly brings 1-off custom abominations to NAMM shows every year with stupid burl tops and crazy bevels and cut out and whatever other things that absolutely no one has asked for from Jackson.
Why not let some customer orders at least constitute some of...
I'll take this opportunity to say: Fuck Jackson and their custom shop for not taking custom orders from normal, non-artist paying customers. Irritating to constantly see them with marketing vids with custom guitars for their artists but if I throw money at a dealer begging for an actual custom...
