I've always been a Weezer fan and really liked their tone on their first couple of albums, apparently created on a Mesa Mark I played at low volume with the tone know rolled off... go figure. Anyway they just released a new CD and love their guitar tones, and River's is certainly an underrated...

Agreed. I didn't like it much at first but it has really grown on me. Loved Leviathan and Blood Mountain but they lost me with Crake and Hunter. This new one is becoming one of my favorites for sure. They use AGCFAD tuning on High Road and some others I think, cool stuff.

I read somewhere that he is touring the world or crossing things off his bucket-list or something like that. I think some members here know him personally so they probably have better insight into that situation.

While they don't have the wall of amps backdrop, each Rammstein guitarist runs though I think 6 Mesa Rectos. They certainly get a wall of amps type sound live.

Do you have a smartphone you are using chrome on also? If so chrome communicates across platforms so it's probably defaulting to the mobile page if you go to rig talk on your phone regularly. Maybe delete cookies/visit history?

I should mention I got this checked out at a tech and actually put some volume behind it and it sounds great. Some more eq tweaks and patience did wonders. I haven't played through a tone of tube amps and this one is just reacts differently than what I'm used to.

I have a Mark IV. Recently picked up a 5150III and couldn't flip it fast enough. The blue channel was nice, but I preferred the mesa on every channel, just really didn't like the gain structure of that EVH. Also I really don't like shared EQ on channels like on the 50 watt which obviously...

In RT's experience, is it better to push preamp or channel volume and have master set low or to push the master volume and have the preamp/channel volume set low? Everything pushed to 11? Everything set low? For bedroom practice vs playing live?
