I had one of the ISP powered subs ran with my Engl Savage 5 or 6 years ago. Really cool idea. Loved the punch it gave. Didn't jive with how it split the low end to come through the just the sub and the rest of the frequencies through the cab.
Looking for suggestions on a single analog chorus pedal. Nothing digital or multifx. Preferably something true bypass or at least doesn't suck your tone having in your signal path. I play a lot of extreme and proggy spacy metal. I use chorus a lot on big complex spacy chords.
Thanks for the replies and suggestions so far guys. I've heard a lot of good stuff about the Fireball 100 and being more low mid focused which is what I think I want. Just overall louder like you described MetalHeadMike is something I'm looking for also. Really had to fight with the Savage to...
As for the post above, I am familiar with both units and both ends of the spectrum. What I am asking is, is it possible for me to get the best of both worlds with the engl pre/VHT power set up? I guess another question would be if I ran the pre/power set up would the Engl pre still produce too...
Ok looking for reccomendations here folks. I've been through quite a few heads this past year looking for the right one. I owned an Engl Savage 120 for 9 years. Absolutely loved everything about it except for the lack of low end/low mid heft. Was just too thin sounding. The gain on it was...
Hey Tcrash. I got your pm. I guess I haven't been on here enough for them to let me message you on here. What ever message I sent you was by clicking on an email icon. Anyways what I said in it was that I'm interested in your Herbert. I have an Engl Savage 120 I can trade or I can try to sell...
So far I've been gassing for a Herbert. I've played one and the main reason I want it is for the stupid amount of brutal low end punch to the chest it had. However I've seen a couple good deals on some Hagens and have really liked the clips I've heard. Can anyone tell me the main tonal...
Hi. I'm currently interested in a Diezel Herbert. Sorry if these questions have been asked before.
1. What are the mechanical and tonal(if any) differences between the MK1 and MK2?
2. I read on the Diezel site that the Herbert has a switchable serial loop. Does this mean I can set a patch...
Will be installing in a 2003 Les Paul Studio tuned to drop Bb. Looking for aggressive pissed high gain. Tight and chunky but not muddy. Crisp and clear but not too ice picky bright. Want it to slam you in the chest when palm muting low notes and also be fluid enough for fast extreme metal...
Hey thanks for your replies guys. As far as messing with outboard eq's on my Engl before the amp and in the loop, I've tried that. I've owned the amp for 7 years. It just simply is not giving me what I want. Plus it's unreliable as hell. As far as what tone I'm after that's tough. I guess my...
Hey benduncan. I'm new here and am in the market for a new head. The Pittbull and the 2Ch TR/DR are the main 2 on my list. Do you have a preference of one over the other? Which is more crushing in the low mids, cuts through a mix better, and is just plain more pissed off sounding? I currently...
