    Jake E. Lee blueburst presale

I want a DeMartini Frenchie as bad as anyone, but I'm not paying almost $3k for a guitar will effectively be not much better than the $800 Pro Mods I already have. I have a new Les Paul Standard and Heritage H535 that both cost less and are waaaay more instrument.

Badass Players With Shitty Vibratos, Vibrato Snobs, & More

Warren DeMartini's vibrato is one of the best.

Badass Players With Shitty Vibratos, Vibrato Snobs, & More

That Guthrie Govan-via-Greg Howe-by-way-of-George Lynch sideways vibrato has become such a fusion cliche now. It was cool when Lynch and DeMartini did it, and also Howe, but now everyone and their Youtube buddy does it because it seems like in order to be one of those "smart" new shredders...

Warren DeMartini at The Music Zoo

I'll be first in line if they finally pull this off.

    RIP Allan Holdsworth

    His very last show...wow man.

The eternal question : EMG vs Blackouts ? :)

The Loomis models kick ass. Definitely the best Duncan actives I've ever heard. They really do have a more passive-like feel and response, yet with the punch of actives. I still love the good old EMG 81, though. It does what it does better than almost anything.

    LsL guitars. What's the skinny?

Agreed. Over $3k for th relic'd HSH Strats at Matt's Music.

Why are decent Charvels so hard to find?

I love my two MIM San Dimas models. I've tried the older MIA and USA versions, and the current USA Selects, and these are right there with them. I have no desire to change anything on them. The necks are glorious.

Do EMG active pickups really suck?

The Jeff Loomis and Livewire Classic singles do not suck, as far as Duncan actives go. I like EMGs. I don't want them in all of my guitars, but I appreciate what they do. The 81 is a one-trick pony, but it kicks ass in the right environment. I have an 81TW (dual sound version) with SA neck and...

New Steel Panther? .. pretty bad

Same. It's a pretty bland affair, no standout great tunes or really hilarious lyrics. Can't even think of a Satchel solo that stands out. My favorite song might be Now The Fun Starts, because it's pretty different to everything they've done, a moody midtempo kinda thing. I think they've either...

    Megadeth Hangar 18

I also hate the remix of RIP. Couldn't get rid of it fast enough and had to find an original copy.

    Eric Johnson Stratocaster

Had a maple and a rosewood. Gorgeous to look at, but did not like playing them. Pickups and neck were not for me.

Is there any reason why I should not get this Charvel?

It's MIM. $1099. I'm getting one. I've got two MIM Pro Mods already, and they rule. I honestly have no desire to spend 3x as much on a USA model.

    New Jem colors

That's an RG350 I turned into a clone (minus monkey grip and claw). It kicks ass and I'm sure sounds just as good with the JB/Jazz swap. $3500 is insane.

Like a 5150!!! Craigslist just kills me...

There's a local kid trying to sell his solid-state Fender combo and says it's "like a Mesa/Boogie" because it has an EQ.

    Tupac in the 2017 RRHOF

If the RnR HOF were renamed the Pop Music HOF, there would be far less uproar and confusion.

Marty Friedman: Engl Inferno Sig Amp

100% agree. Broderick's playing never did anything for me for that reason. Kiko is a muthafucker.

    Hear N Aid

Yngwie was Yngwie, but Lynch's solo that they didn't use was the one that blew me away.

    What is your lead boost?

An extremely fancy high-end pedal that I had to have custom-made for me called the Boosta Grande.
