“A no-compromise amplifier solution”: Synergy teams up with Wampler and Friedman to launch its machine-learning power amp – and promises to change the

This was in another thread, I think, man. Looks like an interesting product, though I'm a bit sceptical about the "machine learning" aspect.

It's also super expensive, I'd rather use something that is sub-$1000. I mean, as good a builder as Friedman is, where are the machine learning algorithms coming from?

Is it just something that mimics cab response, like the Boss Waza TAE? I'd rather be able to choose myself, what does a machine know about tone.

All said and done, I'm probably not the target market though, and Friedman may have perceived a gap in the market that this addresses.
Wampler is releasing just the amp plus IR loader for $599. If the technology is just adjusting the amp without converting the signal to digital it may be really good.

Dave gives a thorough run down of what it does as well as the new Phil X head.

I like Dave and have owned most everything he’s put out. This is a stereo Waza TAE without the delay/reverb/compression/boost/eq from what I can tell.

Interesting video. I'd be interested to see how the solid state power amp compares to the Fryette versions that use tubes.

The idea of a test tone being run through the cab to learn its characteristics a la profiling sounds amazing as well.

Will look forward to demos in the wild.

Again, Roland/Boss put this out a few years ago at the same price point. And it has effects built in
