Do it. Every, and I mean every, amp sounds great through an Uberkab.

If you’re sure you want the 4x12 again, can’t go wrong with the UberKab. Even though I 99.99% play through my studio monitors anymore, I kept my UberKab because I know I’d regret selling, same with my Diezel FL 4x12.

I bought an Uberschall a few weeks ago and have pondering this very question since I got it. None of the retailers have them in stock atm but I'm 99% sure I'm getting one. I've read enough reviews from people that solidify my want for the cab, haha.

Good price for two ubers. I might recommend still ditching the 75s but putting 2 alnico creams in each cab with the V30s. I found the mix of v30 and alnico cream is pert near perfect to my ears... but the thought of a 4x12 with all creams sounds like it would be pretty amazing as well, great speaker.

Initially I thought about getting new Marshall BX and Mesa Traditional cabs. That would run me $2,300 total. Then the Uberkabs came along. I want something that is tight and responsive, not flubby. Not sure if the larger Uber remains tight. My only hesitation
I'd be willing to bet they stay pretty tight. They are front loaded now so that definitely helps.

My Uberkabs are both rear loaded and are very tight. My playing style demands a tight cab and these satisfy me 100%. There are tighter cabs out there (not by that much) but all of those won't have anywhere near the body, fullness and responsiveness of the Uberkabs. They still breathe somewhat like a vintage cab. My lord, $900 for TWO Uberkabs is a deal and a half!

I ordered a Fane loaded FB 412 almost 10 months ago and if it does not ship soon I may cancel and grab an Uberkab.

I’ve had my Ubercab for 10 years now. Great cab. It’s the biggest sounding and heaviest sounding cab I have and also very tight. My Diezel 412 FL is only a little tighter, but not as big sounding

It is darker sounding than my other cabs though, so I’d be worried if those Alnico Cream might be too dark in it

Only do this if you want to downgrade your sound! Lol

:aww:

Love my Uberkab. I sold my Diezel cabs and kept the Bogner.

Every amp I have sounds great with my Ubercab. I can't say that for the other cabs I have.

The Uberkab (like all Bogner 4x12s) is standard vintage Marshall size—not bigger than the two you mentioned. I'll second what everyone has said about them being great. A 2002 rearloaded Uberkab has been my main cab for over 4 years now. I'll also second what braintheory said about them being darker than most cabs. I attribute this to the rear panel batting and the fact that they're 8 ohms.

Since they're the older rearloaded model, I say jump on them. $450 a piece is very fair.

Mine is 16 ohm and Frontloaded. I’m guessing it’s the foam on the back that makes it dark and smooth, but also bigger and tighter sounding

Reallly? I always thought they were bigger like the Rectifier Standards. If they are smaller I might just get them

Nope. Right around 30" height and width, 14" deep. Same as all the cabs copying vintage Marshall spec (Friedman, Wizard, Splawn, etc). The Mesa Traditional is a quarter inch deeper.

Must be!

I used to love the dark nature of the Ubercab but grew to loathe it. The batting on the back panel sucks the life out oft the high end. Remove the batting and it’s very similar to a Friedman or Wizard cab ( both BAD made) in sound. I’ve had them all side by side. Externally they’re almost identical.
