The more folks send traffic to these videos, the more ad revenue these guys get. It's pretty clever really, as much as I can't stand the format.

A few months back, some "Guitar Fanatics ", were at our gig and they were very surprised that I got a great sound with older gear .
I miss the days, when guitar heroes were in bands, touring, demonstrating their virtuosity on stage and on recordings.

Youtube Guitar Heroes seem to have a limited life span, unlike the Guitar Heroes of the past.

Time is really true measurer of Relevancy.

I don’t know about that, most of the bigger channels have been around a long while and they are only getting bigger and bigger. I’ve never looked at a channel and said damn that guy lost a ton of followers.
 
Ten years from now, Kempers, Helix's and other gear of today, will still be relevant like the gear from 10 to 30 years ago .
 
I watched Agufish and even joined his patreon page a few years ago. At the time there were a few channels that I was trying to support cause I like having content to watch.

But he started putting commercials for Raid Shadow Legends, and other non relevant. And I posted and told him please don't do this and his response was basically "you don't complain about ads in the super bowl" and "shut up and enjoy the free content."

Here is the thing. I pay YouTube to not have commercials and companies have found guys like him to schill their shit that have zero to do with the channel. It's like me having hbo and right before seeing Danarys Targareon's titties she stops and starts telling me about "insert spam commercial". Plus I was actually a member of his patreon at the time. So that was it for me. I get that guys need to eat but there are right ways to do it that is respectful to your audience. Take Ola for example whether you like him or not he is a great example of diversifying his revenue streams to where he doesn't have to sell you ball hair shampoo in a middle of an amp demo.

From then on any channel I watch that stops and tries to sell me on some dumbshit that is completely unrelated gets an automatic unsubscribe and no more views from me. Seriously you are basically circumventing my YouTube premium and for you not to respect that then fuck you.
 
The good news about having the YouTube premium is that you can fast forward through any advertisement. So as soon as I see someone start to talk about Manscape or NordVPN, just fast forward past it.

Youtube Vanced/New Pipe on mobile devices will do all of this and more for free and on a PC there are countless browsers and browser extensions that will do this. I'm not paying for Youtube. I'm not crazy or stupid enough.
