Great sound, great playing as always Michael  !

Was wondering where your clips have been lately :D .

Thanx Guys
I appreciate the feedback

I'm very happy with the new mods too the amp head. :D

Sounds great. Extra tube stage or just tweaking the 2204 circuit? I did a few part snips in my phase 90 but it still is too bass heavy to my ears. Are you willing to share what you did with yours?

Thanks for sharing! I think I only did 2 out of 3 mods you mentioned. I think it was R28 and one of C11 or 12. I'll try your changes. Does the internal trim pot going clockwise increase the phase effect? Right now my pot is barely cracked. Too intense. I'd like a more subtle phase. As for 2203 tweaks, i slightly tweaked one of the gain stages in my jcm800 and with a small tightening boost from and OD, it is awesome. No boost, sounds very convincing VH like yours does. Such a great circuit.

Very cool! Thanks for sharing all that info.. I had replaced the 10k cathode resistor with a 4.7 K resistor with a .47 UF cap (4.7 k resistor alone I didn't like.. buzzy) and used a 1 uf vs .68 uf bypass cap that you have in your changes but you have some other jam going on there that is worth trying out. I have an old Laney which I converted to PTP to try diff circuits. Was going to wire it up with an extra tube stage but I might try this first.

I'm going to tinker with my phase 90 now too..

PS- These clips really make me rethink whether or not I even need to bother with an additional tube gain stage.

Man, to think that back in the 80'd everybody was hacking up the old Marshalls adding tube stages. All you need is the right parts in the right places. Very cool sounding amp.
