IDK how many 47 yr old amps & vacuum tubes you own but with that type of age you "seat" the tubes as far as they wanna go willingly esle you're gonna destroy the tube socket and / or vacumm tube. Plus if you force the damn thing in there you'll never get it back out in one peice.
Its hard enough geting bias probes in & out. Chance you take with old equiptment.

Anyone who uses Rotos. They gotta be new.

The EXL170s on my Spector on the other ha scare like 5 years old and still sound great.

The 4001 has to be new Rotos though.

I imagine some of the "clearance" stuff is just shit they bought back from dudes that was hardly used and then refurbished and sold as new..... This or floor stuff.

Or who knows how they roll but fuck it as long as it's "new".
