I heard these weren't so good years ago but what is story today? Can you switch out your 12" guitar speaker for a 12" FRFR monitor?

Celestion and Eminence are what I usually get but whatever goes. I already have FRFR monitors but want to know what my options are here.

Also do the Ohms matter?

Are you saying switch them out to use for a normal amp? Or a modeler? If you mean regular tube/ss head...it's going to sound horrible.

Sorry I should be clearer. Modeler/Profilers. Helix/Kemper. That sort of thing.

Okay nice. Thanks. However a bit hard to get for me. Any other options?

Celestion makes the F12-X200. Never tried it, and I've read mixed reviews on it. Could be worth a shot.

Why is it hard for you to get?
