That is Brad King selling it. It's a cool amp, but whoever provided the advice of listing it for $12,500 clearly doesn't know the vintage Marshall market much. I'd sell my original 1967 plexi in clean condition for 1/2 that price...

ill buy that original '67 plexi from you

Anybody notice that it had 2 different brands of power tubes?, looks like 2 sylvania 6ca7's and 2 Mullard el34's.

I'm not so sure it matters. They are drop in replacements for each other. Can't imagine it would be a problem unless they were way off bias wise.

Yeah, I know it's not a problem but if I'm paying that much for an amp, give me a quad of the same tubes.

Oh. OK. I see what your saying now.

Still not sure it matters. Maybe those 4 tubes work really well together. Otherwise, yeah. For 10K it should ship with 4 Quads of NOS power tubes a variety of NOS preamp tubes and a lifetime supply of tube lubricant from my fantasy genie fairy

Yeah man, I mean it has 3 mullard original preamp tubes. If you mix power tubes like that "even though they are compatible", they sound different, and also there should be one pair in sockets 2 and 3 and one pair should go in 1 and 4 of the power tube sockets for it to sound right. but whatever it's not my amp. lol.

I didn't even see the tubes you are talking about let alone what sockets they were in but yeah....good point.

Anyone who knows their Marshalls will know that 1-4 and 2-3 are the pairs.

I have to assume that a collector willing to pay $10,000 for such an amp will know what they are doing. :dunno:
