Damn the Major I played was far cleaner sounding than that. That sounded great!

IMO that amp sounds good but is begging for a nice OD pedal

any boost involved?
I'm thinking he would have mentioned that.

As with the previous clip, my favorite part is listening to you play, but that is some nice Marshall tone that is for sure1

That sounded really nice! Must have been really loud in there. Nice guitar too. I always wanted one of those back in the day.

This one is modded with a PPIMV, so I'm able to get a little gain out of it.
Thanks for checking out the clip.

OD pedals will kill this amp in a heart beat, so no pedals for this beast.
I could get more gain out of it if I mod the preamp circuit, but I don't want to mess with it.
It had a PPIMV in it when I got it, all I had to do with hook it up.
Thanks for the feedback.

Thank you.
Yeah, I always thought that there would be no way that a od pedal could harm an amp. Figured it was impossible or an old wives tail. Since I have heard that the exception is the Marshall major which can blow up when pushed with pedals. Some pretty reliable sources have put this info out there so I wouldn't want to chance it.
