Thank you, greatly appreciate your comments.

Yeah, I prefer the Major as well.

Out of all the amps I own, it's my favorite.

and the thing that is even cooler about MiachelR/T is that he has actually shared his "secrets" many times from descriptions in youtube links to layouts on this forum. Goes to show that boutique tone really isn't that far off from the stock amps that are modded. Something to think about as always....

Watched the first video. Sounds great! THAT'S the plexi tone that ALL the boutique amp builders having been chasing and charging 3-5k for.

Thank you for checking out the Plexi video.

I never thought of it that way before, I appreciate the kind words.

The Friedmans, the new Bogner Helios, the Suhr amps that are Plexi inspired. You got the REAL DEAL.

Cheer's Bro.

Yeah, I'm not in it for the money so I don't have any "secrets".

PPIMV and a couple of circuit tweaks to any vintage Marshall works for me.

Yeah,
I think those are all great sounding amps but yes, owning the "real deal" has always been my dream.

Killer!!
The Major has that early VH bright punchiness, and the Super Bass has the browner tone from the later albums!!
Great playing - a pleasure to listen to!!

Thank you Andy.

I just put a new set of TAD EL34's in my Super Bass last night and tweaked the circuit a little bit.

I got it sounding like the first VH album now, for the first time I'm amazed at how close this amp sounds to it.

I'm going to record a solo "brown sound" clip of it tomorrow night and post a new thread.

But instead of playing VH tunes, I'm going to play my own thing like I did in the last two clips because I think maybe people are getting sick of hearing VH riffs all the time.
I want to keep my clips interesting. :)

Cool! Does your Super Bass have the tone stack values of a '67? My Metro 12,000 SLP has super bass tone stack values that I plan on changing to make it sound less flubby and more like an SLP. I'm curious to hear your Super Bass!

My amp is a Super Bass but it's been modded like a Super Lead, the tone stack is 470pF/33K and the PI couplers are .022uF. (Super Lead values)
If you need any help with mods, let me know.
Right now I'm going to try capturing a really good recording of the Super Bass, wish me luck. :)

Yup, those are the values I'll be installing when I get the parts from Sozo!

Good luck with your next video - should be cool!
