Yep. There you go. Plexi with a one wire mod owns all of the crazy expensive mods our there for tone.

A PPIMV and "one wire mod" sound really nice together when dialed in correctly.
It's no secret, the idea has been around for long time.

This combination sounds awesome in late 60's Marshall Plexi's.

This sounds good and I like PPIV masters.

With that said, I much prefer a Jose master with zeners across it. When turned very low, the PPIV master causes the tone controls and presence to have almost no affect. I feel the Jose master with zeners sound more like a cranked Marshall. The cool thing with old Marshalls is you can simply wire the inputs so the volumes now act as gain knobs (2 gain knobs, one for each input channel) and the Jose will now be the master. You can get crazy high gain doing this.

I think I got this Phase 90 down now.
I'm really diggin' it, great for all kinds of different things.

No, I don't use the 1/4 inch plug in channel 1 all the time.

I think most of the videos are recorded without.

Here's one I did off the cuff today, it's a little sloppy but I think it sounds OK tho.
It was done with the 1/4 plug in low volume 1 as well.
The plug seems to work great for the VH stuff.

I just did the one wire mod again. I find at lower gain settings (channel volumes at 6), switching the caps reduces the low end too much. I like it better with the stock cap values so far.
