I've never owned a triple recto, but I have owned several TOV's and early Dual Recto's. I've heard that the Rev F Triple's are killer...how are the Rev G's?

All Rectos are good. The Internet just likes to obsess over shit no one else cares about.

I have a Rev G Triple and love it. It's plenty tight unboosted for most things and gets completely über metal with something like an OD808.

I've had it for maybe two years and haven't seriously considered buying a high gain amp since. My two previous favorite amps were the SLO and the VH4, but the Triple can get pretty close to what the SLO could do and the Triple belts out rock and metal that I actually prefer to what I used the VH4 for.

I disagree. My friend brought over his newer 3 channel triple recto and I hated it. Waaaaay too buzzy :/

I wanted to like a 3-channel Triple I owned, but there was something I couldn't dial out. Picked up the Rev G and have loved it since flipping it off standby.

Though I play it with a cab that's somewhat unusual to pair with a Recto (older Marshall 1960A with G12-65s).

You just missed a mint triple rev f chrome chassis for sale on FB. I played it be it was killer.

What is this FB site you speak of? Is it a Facebook group? I would have bought that amp if I saw it.

One of the various gear sales pages. It was expensive, but considering how rare and clean it was, was priced right.

No, he was selling some Duals though on Reverb.

Good one dude. Most retards can't dial one in and have know idea how the EQ works .

I have owned a slew of rectos from 2 chan to 3 chan. My favorite is the first run 3 channels not the second or the reborn the first run! Killer amps

The clean channel is not going to be as good as your Tremoverb. The bottom is going to be a little bigger, less midrange and the high end a little brighter. All Tremoverb are G.

I think Tremoverbs were on their own rev letters. I think most I've seen are Rev E or something like that. Must maybe they're essentially Rev G Rectos.

I have a triple rev F blackface that was modded by Kyle Rhodes and I bought it that way, so unfortunately I can't say what it sounded like stock, but with what Kyle did to it, it sounds pretty close to a rev C-F that is boosted, with no boost at all, and it seems to have bit of Mark series almost mixed into it.

I'm saying that if you look on the circuit boards in a Tremoverb, I think most say Rev E or something like that. But that's not the same as saying they are like a Rev E Dual Recto. The revisions between the Recto and the Tremoverbs are different.

Thanks for the clarity ..... Looks like all Tremoverb are all RR-1E and this was the final revision of the two channel after the Rev G.

He's not wrong though, there are players that prefer the newer rectos to the older ones. Different strokes for different folks.
