The Dual Recto RI is the best Recto to date. A hill I'm ready to die on.

Just threw this together so I could hear how the DR RI records vs. an OG Rev G Triple. Pretty sure I can hear the mids that have me thinking the RI could work well live.

This is most likely the best sounding RI clip I’ve head. Great work and great tone! 😎

But it’s nowhere to be found in europe

I haven’t played a RI yet but I like the clips I’ve heard.

I’ve been on the fence about moving my Tremoverb to get a different amp I’m liking more currently and then eventually finding a reissue for my recto fix, but I don’t know… the Tremoverb is really something.

I had a fantastic Tverb and loved it at home. However, it was so so dark on stage (metal band).

I’ve had a C,D,F and G, and the RI is my favorite of them all.
It’s the tightest, while still being richer and juicier, especially in the mids.
The bass is less boomy and much more usable as well.
I’ve always much preferred orange to red, but on this amp I can say that I love them equally.
Mesa killed it on this one.

My GZ Trem can get insanely bright if desired. It has in essence, four controls that affect brightness...of course treble and presence but also the Reverb knob, which has a HUGE impact on brightness and the two trem knobs also to a lesser degree.

Most of the clips are too loose or flubby at bottom end but your tone is not. I’ve seen some killer clips with a boosted recto but it was so nice to hear a great tone out of these without a boost… 🙏

Being honest I've struggled for years to get a recorded tone out of Rectos that I was happy with. The MWs were better here for me than the OG 2ch, and this RI is smoking them all to my ear.

Here's an example. This amp was devastating in the room, but sounded like this on the mic. (no mids no ass, which I was never happy with) To be fair, some (most?) of that was my learning curve, but still..

I think that’s what I like about it. But mine does get pretty bright if I set Orange to Modern.

I had a 3-channel for a long time (pre-multiwatt) that was pretty bright but not in a pleasant way. I had Friedman mod it around 2010 or so. It was very cool but still wasn’t giving me quite what I wanted so I traded it for a Mark IV. That was killer. Had it for about 10 years and then traded it for the Tremoverb, haha. I’m always back and forth with rectifiers but the TV has been my favorite so far.
