Hey guys, I just picked up this KV4 and I figured while I was doing a NGD on it I'd also do one on the Edwards LP 112CE I picked up from Mike (Headlessdeadguy) about 12 weeks ago that I forgot to do one on . The KV4's got a few dings on it but I got it in a trade for a pretty beat up LP Studio so I'm happy with it, the Eddy is pretty much mint but the flash brought out some smudges and paint swirls :D . The only thing I don't like is the JB/SH-4 combo that they came stock with but I'll be taking care of that soon enough, if anyone's looking for a pair let me know, I'd like to either sell them or trade em for some dimarzios (X2N or ToneAone/Air Norton). Oh, and before I forget, Mike is a GREAT guy to deal with, I can't overstate it enough, he's good people. I took a little trip down there, bullshitted for a few hours, rocked a little on his Fireball and 5150 and I wouldn't hesitate to do it again, thanks again bro. Here are the pics....

P.S. I picked up a new pistol and did an NGD in the OT if anybody is interested.

Man I dig that V Nate  The green Jackson will look badass between those black beauties

Thanks man, I almost feel bad because the green Jackson and me have so much history that when I get it back I might have to exile the V to the corner  Usually I use LP/superstrat shapes but I have to say the fret access is awesome with a V, it's definitely something I could get used to. That Carvin V you have is pretty sweet too though. How's the green machine comin anyway? Is she behaving?

I Really like those Edwards Les Pauls, I really must get one!

They're killer man, I'm glad I picked this one up, tone for days. The neck is kind of fat on it, but I can deal with it even though I prefer a thin shredder neck. It's definitely better than paying $3000+ and getting the Gibson QC issues

Yeah I hear ya, I'm really gassing for a Sykes model one at the moment. I did try one a few months ago, I was very impressed.

Oh man, you had to show me that niceeeee Edwards  . Now, do you know what model it is? Where did you buy it?

Gotta start saving for another axe.

It's a 112CE. I picked it up from another RT member. You could probably get one online somewhere or maybe eBay?? Nice guitar man, highly recommend it  .

That's cool brother take your time, this V will hold me over   I just picked up an OFR for the green one, I'm going to pick up one of those brass blocks and claws and see if they actually make a difference or not. I'm working on getting some new pickups too, when I get the body back from you and throw it all back together I'll post some before and after pics

Have found this model at the ESP website, although it doesn't have the yellowish binding or the gold hardware, which IMO is what makes this guitar look so great, very gibsony instead of ESP

Have they changed the specs or what?

I'm pretty sure it's just an upgraded aftermarket bridge. Probably a tone pros? If nbarts pops his head in here he could probably tell you since I think it was originally his. The kicker for me is the fretboard, I'm a sucker for the ebony boards :D

I switched the Duncan Distortions out for some Motor City 2nd Degree Blackbelts on my Edwards Sykes LP Custom and it really brought the guitar to life...I'd highly reccomend some handwound pickups if you can swing it/aren't digging the Duncans...big improvement. I really like the guitar a lot now and am glad I didn't blow money on a shoddy 3K Gibby.

This one came with EMG 81s and they rip pretty good   If it would've come with duncans I would've definitely switched them out though. I just don't get along with duncans for some reason :dunno: Like you, I couldn't drop that cash on a Gibby when IMO this is just as good if not better for me.

That's great. Now could you stop whoring around my guitar from man to man & start playing it already!
