After this tragedy with Charlie Kirk, I've seen a lot of people here and elsewhere claim you have to be a "pro" operator in order to make a 200-yard shot on a torso/head/neck type of target. I think the data shows Charlie Kirk was hit with a shot from around ~140 yards. I hope I'm not being insensitive, but I went to the range with a bolt-action chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor to put this to the test.

Shot from prone position with bipod and rear bag. 200-yard target. One shot every 2 seconds. Center diamond bullseye is 0.25" per side.

The random larger group was me getting bored. So I put 10 shots downrange as fast as I could.

I think people often overlook that, I imagine at least, shooting at a target at a range and shooting at another human in a large crowd of other humans is probably much different.

Clearly the dude had it in him to take another life, and that’s fucked, but I also gotta think nerves play quite the role too

The target ( a human head) is also what about 50 times larger than the target FourT was shooting at.

I'm not going to get into the conversation about nerves playing a role. There is a lot to unpack there. I will just say that I personally have never experienced buck fever. Some guys do and some guys don't. In any case there is absolutely no doubt a professional hitman doesn't miss Kirk's head at that distance. There's also absolutely no chance he would purposely target the neck. People who thought it was a pro hitter also think Kid Rock is Hank Jr's son. 🤣 ( Few will get that reference)
 
Only problem is that target isn't moving.

Most people his age have never even shot a gun.

Also, there was a tent above him and people around him.

I've found that going prone really helps reduce the effects of "buck fever" if a person gets any just because of the level of support. I would assume shooter was prone, in which case anyone with pretty minimal training can make a 140 yard shot like that. I think he probably still jerked it a bit because of the neck impact rather than the head. I think about half of this board is gun ignorant. 140 yards is not really a challenge at all with a scoped rifle like the shooter supposedly used.

I haven't heard/read anything that mentions his experience. But yeah, considering his dad was law enforcement for many years, I wouldn't put it past him.

Charlie Kirk really wasn't moving either. He was sitting in a chair. And had been for quite some time. I'm betting the shooter went for a chest shot and missed high. Either way, doesn't really matter. My point is I doubt there is some grand conspiracy with some "pro" who made an operator-level exfil on a private jet. There is literally video of this kid running across the roof with the rifle, jumping down, and casually walking across the lawn and across the street. There is video of him limping to the campus. There wasn't some second shooter and this kid wasn't a pro operator.

Some kid that hasn't been trained to subdue adrenaline at the time of pulling the trigger along with the tent obscuring the line of sight for the shoot, that tent was pretty damn low as well, it had to obscure the shooters line of sight.

The military has to spend alot of time and money to train snipers. Could someone get lucky with just one shot like that, that isn't trained? Possible but highly unlikely.................. It definitely opens up questions.

How come we still haven't heard a single peep about the background investigations and motives in Trump's Pennsylvania shooter, the fucking guy shot a president and not one investigation or explanation as to how the fuck that happened, not even from Trump's FBI..........IT"S BEEN MEMORY HOLED..................
The body was cremated soon after and nothing spoken about the parents, funding, the multiple encrypted accounts and phones.

According to most sources a Mauser 98 is not easy to break down and reassemble in the timeframes given after the shooting was done. You mean to say an inexperienced kid took the time to disassemble that rifle on the rooftop after pulling the trigger, stuffing it into a back pack because he isn't carrying a rifle on that rooftop footage and he jumped down then while escaping took the time to reassmbled the rifle wrap it a towel and leave it in the woods for the FBI to find..........that just doesn't make and logical sense.

I haven't seen the supposed pics but it supposedll shows a fully assemble rifle.

What investigation has been made into Trump's shooters??????? We don't hear much.
