200-Yard Shot

I'd rather avoid a gun shot wound than treat a gun shot wound. Charlie Kirk took a lot of money from people to do a job and he didn't do what he was paid to do. Not that hard to look at financial transactions, read texts or hear from witnesses and get some ideas as to what happened.

How many people have shot you and what did you do to deserve it?

Charlie Kirk was all about debate, free speech and truth so let's have it.

I "have to" strongly disagree with some of those figures.

Ignoring the obvious fact that #1 depends on your lung capacity and fitness level (I held my breath for 5 minutes during peak fitness in my swimming days when I had a pulse rate of 26), points 2, 3 & 4 are BS.

3 hours without shelter? Not even in the most-inhospitable places in the world is this true as long as you're clothed. Where the climate is "perfect" (tropical island for example), you could in-theory survive "indefinitely" sans shelter.

3 days without water? Yeah na. We often hear about peeps who've been rescued from under rubble or having been stuck in drainpipes and whatnot after a week. I wouldn't bet on anyone lasting much longer than that 'though.

3 weeks without food? Laughable. If this were the case any decent fasting would be "bant". A month is common. 3 months isn't unheard-of. I doubt that even 6 months would kill you. You'd be skin-and-bones, but you'd be alive.

Just sayin'. Whoever wrote that allowed his or her fixation on making it "cute" by matching up all those 3s to get in the way of cold, hard facts.

IMHO.

It was just a silly meme. And a coincidence for me based on the timing. I agree, I can survive longer without most of things but I have some survival skills. I think whomever wrote it was trying to 'fit into the trilogy of 3's' thing like you said, but also maybe waking some people up that really have no clue. This was a survival FB page, and literally the next post was someone asking if hording some water was actually necessary

And I get where @CDawg is coming from in general with what he sees as 'oddities' in this case, but rushing someone to a hospital who has been shot in a major artery would not be one of them (an oddity that is). In other words, standing there waiting for an ambulance with an active shooter would not be what would be going through my mind if a friendly got shot like that. :dunno:

Holy fuck. Talk about reaching.

You don’t move a person with a gunshot wound?
Take a fucking trauma course for fuck sakes. If you don’t move him he’s gonna die. 🙄
Can you show me some information from reputable organizations that say you should be moving people around after traumatic head or neck injuries?

I have no problem showing information from around the planet under a variety of circumstances that suggest what to do in the event of traumatic head or neck injuries.

Why didn't you link me something already? You could have posted thousands of links if everyone thought it was such a great idea to move people around with traumatic head or neck injuries.

You got time to reply with an emoji but no information to substantiate what you're saying. If it's so easy you'd already have it done. I've seen you link things before. What's taking so long?

Can't you show me anything from an emergency or medical organization? How about a military? Gun club? Anything?

You might come up with a few wacky organizations that say you should move people around after traumatic injuries but not many. They'll be in the minority.

Look man, I get it. Some things seem like they don't add up with the event as a whole. On the surface there are things I think seem hinky. But that doesn't automatically make it a fact. Not everyone deserves to be shot. Unfortunately it happens. You're free to your opinions and whatever theories you want to look into to find your smoking gun, but the transporting of him ain't it so just let it go.

It’s not worthy of a response dude. I’m not sure if you’re naive or just fuckin stupid.

You have a lot of responses but nothing to back up what you're saying. Copy/paste seems a lot easier than insults.

I'm not an expert in these areas and I agree normally that if someone has a neck injury they should not be moved until a brace and a board can be delivered. But isn't that for a broken neck (bone)? If an artery is shot through by an active shooter, it seems to me most EMS type protocol is out the window. You get the victim to help as fast as you can.

Turns out in this case, it didn't matter.

Dude got hit in a major artery. Not only do you move him, you move him quickly.

At any rate, even if his friends or employees or whoever they were shouldn’t have moved him, it’s pretty normal in that situation to be flustered and rushing. It’s not a fucking clue to some dumbass conspiracy theory. G Dawg up there thinks the ballistic material in John Wick movies actually exists and that a 30-06 bounced off some of it and hit him in the neck. Which is another absolutely ridiculous theory peddled by people that have no fucking clue what they’re talking about. And again, even if it was true, who fucking cares ?

Some people are just gonna buy into every dumbass conspiracy theory no matter what. It’s really not worth my time rebutting it. Especially when other people here already have. Multiple times.

I'm sure his security were also medical professionals who were able to quickly assess the situation and determine what was best for Charlie Kirk.

You couldn't respond with anything to back up your claim. You had hours to do it and not one link saying IF SHOT IN THE NECK PLEASE PICK THEM UP AND RUN WITH THEM IMMEDIATELY from ANY organization. It's the opposite. I posted multiple links from various agencies and you have nothing. Mayo clinic not reliable enough for the conspiracy theorist? Thousands of other organizations around the planet must be wrong too. Floyd Eye has so much more experience and knowledge about gun shot wounds than all those guys.

I’m by no means a doctor, but I’ve done multiple field medic classes that specifically deal with gunshot wounds and I can tell you that priority number one in a main artery hit will be to stop the bleeding and everything else comes after that. You literally have 3-4 minutes to make a difference that might save him or he dies. If you take the time to stabilize the neck and spine he will be nearly dead by the time you finish and would never make it to the ER. I realize that protocol in nearly every other scenario would be to stabilize the neck and spine prior to transport, but I can guarantee you if the guy had a main artery breech the EMTs would not waste one second on anything but stopping the bleed out. Your options in any other part of the body aside from the head are much more fixable in the field, mostly due to the fact you can put CAT3 tourniquets on anything else and all but stop the bleeding so you can prep him for transport but none of that applies to the neck.
They did exactly what they had to, and it still wasn’t fast enough to save him.

It’s about time one of you rotten bastards recognized and acknowledged my superior, infallible intelligence, machine like capacity for rote memorization and general invincibility.
