I think they should also make it so both teams actually have the ball in overtime. The college overtime wouldn't work in the NFL, but I say if the team who gets the ball first scores on their first drive, the other team should at least have a chance to have the ball. Just have the team who scored kickoff just like after a normal touchdown.

If you look at most games, both teams get the ball at least once in a quarter of play, so just playing an extra 15minutes in most cases would be fine. Sure the team who gets the ball first can keep it for 10-12 minutes, but the other team will at least have some time and 3 timeouts to drive down the field and score....

That's why I love how NHL overtime works. Just a short 5 minute regulation period and then the best thing ever, the shootout.

College football OT just skips the bullshit and goes straight to the shootout. I think it could work in the NFL, but not from the 25. Maybe the 50 or something. All I know is that it sucks the way it is right now.

I think the college overtime is great, but it's too "college" for the pros if you know what I mean. Especially with how much better the NFL kickers are compared to the shitty college ones. Most college kickers are lucky if they can even kick 40 yard field goals.

Who's ready for some football!

Jet Favre is ready to pass for 400 yards and 5 TD's against the stout Rams defense. :aww:

If TN can prevent Manning from putting 500+ yards through the air on us tonight, I'll consider that a victory.

I wouldn't be surprised if Tennessee wins tonight, but it's gonna be near impossible for them to recover from 0-4.

Hardly. They can easily recover if they put in their secret weapon.

On another note, isn't it nice to see the Red Sox SWEPT out of the playoffs.

Red Sox DONE. Giants WIN. A Yankee win tonight and it's a great day. :D

I would be surprised. Following the media and rumor mill, heads are not rolling at Titans HQ. If heads are not rolling, I don't see much changing.

I hope not. I don't want any chance of him being on the team for longer than his contract is now. I wrote Mr Pouty Pants off last season.

Can't believe the Bengals are 4-1 and in first place. They should be 5-0 too. Carson Palmer FTW.

And I think the Vikes are the best team in the NFL right now. They have to play Baltimore and Pittsburgh in the next two weeks though, so that will really prove how good or not good they are. Still don't think Denver is for real at 5-0. They might make the playoffs, but I can't see them doing anything serious.

What the fuck was that shit???? 45-10?

Fucking hell :aww:

It's called reality. The 49ers are not for real.
Untrue. I guess it depends on what "for real" means. But they could definitely win the division.

They have no chance of winning that division IMO. They got lucky and beat Arizona early in the year and their other two wins are against the terrible Rams and terrible Shehawks.

Oh and in case you missed it, Marc Bulger was 7-7, 88 yards, and a TD today. Perfect 158.3 QB rating. :poke:
