2011 EVH Wolfgang Special - NEW - am i getting a good deal?

Hi, i have a music store near me with a 2011, Made in Japan EVH Wolfgang Special that they never sold, so its still brand new, technically.

They're offering it to me for $1199 plus free setup AND shaving the frets down, they're a little jagged.

I understand the Japanese ones are better than the current Chinese ones? I'm new to EVH guitars and would like some insight from people who know this stuff better.

Thanks to everyone for chiming in on this.

With the prices im seeing on all the USA made used peavey's, that looks like a much better route to me.
Or... i rehab my 1989 Ibanez RG550. The Wizard neck is just sooo thin, but the SD JB i put in yesterday went well.
